A real tucked away gem! Booked to stay here while travelling down to Devon, and it’s in a lovely little village so close to the M5, and yet so peaceful and tranquil. It’s a gorgeous historic building (three cottages combined to make The Bowl!) and the room was beautiful, the bed so so comfortable, and the staff absolutely lovely - fantastic service for dinner and for breakfast the next morning!

Nice secluded location. Quiet enough to walk our dogs on the nearby roads, but only a couple of miles from shops etc. if we needed anything. VERY fresh eggs supplied by hosts. 😁 Apartment very clean and cosy and the enclosed area to the rear was ideal to sit out in the fresh air and let the dogs mosey around. Very relaxing all round.

We had to go back to work...

Location was perfect, the balcony overlooking the River Dart was also perfect, & facilities were fine. Really close to shops and pubs/restaurants, which was again what we wanted.

Obviously this comment has to be taken in the light of the size of the apartment, but one bathroom between 5 blokes was not ideal. Not sure anything could be done about this & everything else was great - we really enjoyed our stay.

Property is of a very high standard and very well equipped. Great outdoor space, with wildlife on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Alnwick and countryside walks. Would recommend.

We had 3 rooms for family, both double rooms were adequate, had tea/coffee and kettle facilities, with the family room being a lot more bright and spacious with views
Negative section of review
Poor views from double rooms, not too bright, but we weren't in them during day, so no problem

Very good value for money - nice to have 2 rooms as advertised. The house is in a nice location.
