Very helpful staff. Food fantastic. Room huge (Kentmere - family room with 2 single beds and i king size) comfy king size bed. Although probably needs redecorated. We loved it, it was cosy. I imagine the station inn being very cosy in the winter. Only 5-10 minutes walk from Oxenholme train station. Kendal only 3 minuts by train. We had no children, but there is a fantastic outdoor play area and seating. Plenty of parking too.

Beautiful room on a stylish property right in the city centre. It’s walking distance to all major attractions including Northern Quarter, Chinatown and Deansgate. It’s literally 2 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station. The bed was super comfortable with nice wildlife cotton bedding and everywhere was super clean. The online check in was quick and easy.

The staff were incredibly helpful. We had a few questions about traveling in the area and the front desk attendent went out of her way to give us directions. The gardens in the backyard are a nice view if you're sitting outside or near a window in the dining room. Having a restaurant on site was great because there are very few options nearby.

The shower pressure is not the best, but most Scotland hotels have a similar set up so it didn't bother us too much.

Traditionally furnished and very homely rooms in a quiet location. Very comfortable beds. Hosts extremely friendly, Pub traditional and highly recommended. We would stay there again!

Clean and mould/dust free rooms, great breakfast with incredible eggs! Flat screen TV in room with access to streaming services. Lovely, modern, freshly renovated bathroom.

Not much but think the pillows could do with a refresh. They were either hard and lumpy or just very worn out. The room was a little dated and oddly decorated but it didn’t matter. The air conditioning system didn’t smell good when we turned it on so we had to sleep with the window open which was noisy with the road. But not really a biggie.

The location was excellent, the host was just so lovely and the breakfast was superb quality food. I have never tasted eggs like it. Good pub food just along the road.
