Breakfast was fine...the staff were good, generally the room was fine but the bathroom didnt match the room. Great location to explore the Wiltshire Downs

The bathroom was in need of a refit, hot water tap constantly dripping, toilet seat well lose, shower cubicle grouting not good...on the turn. I would say generally needs a bit of a shake up as it has the potential to be a cracking location but let down by, cleanliness' which could be better and the staff better trained to deal with residents. I say this as I asked about my Sunday evening meal whilst having breakfast and was given a set times which I adhered to but later that afternoon when I turned up for my meal the restaurant had already closed, so I had to venture out into town to grab my evening meal. Strict logging in every morning with my car registration to prevent me from receiving a fine from the automated carpark cctv monitoring system... if you forget you get fined.

Spacious apartment with huge windows and small balcony, which was nice. Bathroom spacious with good shower and the bed wasKing size, super comfy.

the lighting was a bit poor; I was working home during the day and even on a sunny day, with the large windows, the spot lights were not powerful and it was a bit dark.

I appreciate that the hotel is very old but the floorboards were super creaky in our room (room 9) which made us uncomfortable when we had to get up and move around during the night. It was impossible to turn the hot tap in the sink in the bathroom completely off so left it to gently trickle rather than hear an annoying drip. The window was screwed shut so no air flow in there apart from a small extractor fan in the high ceiling that wasn’t very effective. Not that we spent much time in the room, but the view was of the back of the building and overlooked a flat roof full of what looked like broken tiles. Not at all pleasant. There was a staff meeting point under an umbrella directly below our bedroom window, which we had open as it was warm and the room a little stuffy, and we could hear everything that was being said.

Breakfast. More options needed for non pork eaters. Breakfast could have been a little hotter. Not the property but Didn’t like the coach blocking the side of the car park overnight. I couldn’t get to my car until they left.

The staff were very unwelcoming, the check in lady/breakfast waitress was very rude and actually started raising her voice and telling me off when I politely asked if we could take a small glass of milk back to the room for a cup of tea. There were toe nails in the shower when we arrived...the staff were sitting on the steps smoking when we first arrived..we had to step over workman's boots at the front steps on our way out..
