It's not really a criticism, but due to how the building is designed, it can be a little easy to get disoriented in when finding your room in the maze of corridors. The walls are clearly marked, so you will soon get used to this during your stay.

Loved my stay here & will definitely return as & when I need temporary accommodation in the area! Better than staying in a hostel as you have some privacy & the facilities were above average. Bonus points as I could keep my little doggy with me who liked the pod too! Great location, next to Hackney Central

Gorgeous exterior, beautiful interior! The room was lovely, really nicely decorated and with everything you could possibly need. Would be my go-to hotel for future Glasgow trips. The staff were so friendly and helpful too.

Externally looks nice. Good parking space, good price for what you get. Bathroom very clean. Village looked pretty. Walking distance to a shop, pub, chippy so location is great.

Room was in need of some tlc, Ripped curtains, loose ripped carpet, tv on a wobbly cabinet, mini fridge balancing on a wobbly unit. Travel kettle. Noisy stairs. Can’t say it was the best experience.

The restaurant service was terrible. We were seated for 25mins before a food order was taken (there were only 2 other tables occupied at the time). The drinks order was delivered in the meantime and was not correct. My food arrived around 25mins later and my partners was not brought out at the same time. To be mannerly, I waited for his food to arrive before starting my own food. After waiting for his plate for another 15mins, we left the restaurant. Over an hour to get food in an empty restaurant (with no explanation) - unacceptable. We immediately notified the front desk that we abandonned the dinner service, and also cancelled our breakfast booking for the following morning.

I did not like: - that the communication with the host was awful. I did not recieve any instructions on how to gain access to the property before arrival. No one met me there. When I tried to call, it rang out twice. I then finally got a text explaining how to enter after being stood outside in the rain for 15 mins. - the first room I was given had clearly not been cleaned: The sheets smelled dirty and there were pubes in the bed. Bathroom was also very dirty. - the second room I was given was also very poorly cleaned, everything was dusty and grimy. The bathroom was filthy, there was faeces around the toilet on the walls even. - the mattress quality was very old and poor. It was sunken and the springs were poking up. - I had to clean the surfaces, the toilet and the bathroom sink myself before I could feel comfortable using them. - the fact that the room had kitchen facilities but yet no utensils or cutlery. It was like a show kitchen. - the bed is facing opposite the washing machine. It felt like I was sleeping in a kitchen (which I basically was). - I slept very poorly because the noise from the fridge combined with the sunken pokey mattress kept me tossing and turning. - the fact that the host did nothing to try to reimburse me but kept blaming the cleaner. I only had a very little amount of toilet paper which I used up cleaning the toilet. I then had to rely on my pocket tissues. - the shower drained very poorly and had a foul smell coming from it - I did not get a refund. It was definitely not value for money and I think I should be reimbursed for giving the toilet the only cleaning it's had in a long while.

When I booked it I stipulated my time of arrival 9pm, no comments where on the Booking website about last booking etc. On the morning I had a call asking what time I would be there I said 9pm. The gentleman told me they finished at 8pm but i should call him, it would not be an issue. While traveling ROUND 7/8PM I got a text saying no one to book you in use the key safe, on the front here is the code, and how to find the room. Informaiton on how to change the heating. I arrived and used the key safe, when i walked in a instantly noticed the smell in the corridor, I went into the room, it was sort of clean, but good of being better. The kitchen again stunk, the fridge stunk, the counter tops dirty. The sink full of dishes and dirty water. I left the following morning and left the key in the internal post box as instructed.
