Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Staff moved us swiftly and easily to ground floor rooms after lift breakdown. Ground floor rooms had lovely view onto pond - happily watched ducks swimming about. Breakfast very good, plenty of choice.

Ask for ground floor rooms but were put on 1st floor, lift broke down 4 times, once when were in the lift! Had problems with 1 room key opening the door, key never worked first time - was changed twice. No disabled facilities/showers.

It was clean and well equipped, and the annexe my sister and I stayed in was very quiet.

There were quite steep steps down to the annexe, which my sister, who is disabled, found difficult. To be fair our host did offer an alternative room in the house. The bedroom had a laminate floor which was a bit cold and utilitarian, but it was spotlessly clean.

Went down for an evening meal and the waiter said sit were you like. Had a job finding a table were the slate table mats did not have dried up food on them. Received very unprofessional service. Took the advice of another of your residents and went to the Dennison Arms for any further meals Going down for breakfast and arriving at the same time as the staff were just arriving very disappointing.

It’s like faulty towers. Sitting in the restaurant put me off wanting to eat there, so I didn’t and I didn’t show up for the breakfast that was included in the deal. The one pint of lager I had cost me £7.20. The place is looking extremely tired and there doesn’t appear to be attention to detail.

Unacceptable state of the en-suite. Shower cubicle appalling and dirty. Radiator very rusty. Build up of rust and dirt on shower. Mould on ceiling. Worst accommodation ever stayed in. Slug trails on carpet where breakfast served. Breakfast not very welcoming - no place settings etc
