We stayed at Astor house in room 16a if I remember rightly (top floor with sea views) for 2 nights from the 31/5/24-2/6/24. Our 1 bedroom apartment was spotless upon arrival. The interior was modern, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Situated in a perfect location with stunning views, I would happily live there permanently. I would most certainly recommend Astor house to anyone travelling to Torquay. Thanks for making our weekend even more enjoyable! I would love to stay at Astor house again! 10/10

I loved everything about Astor house itself but the walk back up the hill to get to the apartment could be very tiring for older people or families with pushchairs (I'm being very picky)

Stayed May 2024 The location was perfect, 20 min walk into Central Edinburgh. The whole place is quirky, spotlessly clean & very welcoming. Tom.the owner was a fantastic host. Chatty & cooked a fantastic breakfast, provided great vegetarian options. Thankyou, we will definitely return.

Very very clean motel room bed was comfortable bed linen was crisp and clean the small kitchen area had everything that you need. the park it’s self was very nice indeed clean and well maintained has a great little shop bar and restaurant

The 8 air conditioning units on the wall along the length of the building 2 right under our bedroom window so unable to open windows at night because of the noise and with no air conditioning in the room it was very hot and uncomfortable for sleeping

The location in the heart of the country was incredible. The breakfast was excellent. The bedrooms were old and quirky but the beds were very comfortable. Definitely worth a visit if staying in that part of the country.

there was a green light (don’t know if it was an emergency light?) which was extremely bright which made it difficult to get to sleep quickly, also the walls are fairly thin so we heard someone next door snoring

The room was small with squashed bathroom on the first floor facing the square. At 6.00 am, someone carried on a conversation over his phone under our window which was annoying.

No breakfast, Just bread and some cereals. Communication was abrupt and terse. No flexibility at all. 3 PM arrival and sharp 11 AM departure. Less than 20 hours ! Even 12 noon would have been nice
