We were surprised by how modern and well-equipped the Boathouse was. Good to have a smart tv, beds were very comfortable and the two shower rooms were a bonus. The openable glazing worked a treat and was useful when we had to get heat out of the house. Wells is a good location. Chris was a patient host when we needed help.

We've mentioned two things to the owners - both easy fixes - such as setting the underfloor heating to a lower temperature as it takes too long for the building to lose heat otherwise and adding simple instructions to appliances. We had a few frustrations working them out.

The house is located down a quiet street. Was easy to find and despite the tracks being close by we hardly heard a train. The kitchen has a full sized oven and fridge. Bedrooms were a comfortable size There was a bedroom downstairs. Ideal for a few friends or a 3 generation family like us.

The narrow stairs might be difficult for an elderly or mobility impaired guest to navigate. I was travelling with an older person who needed assistance getting stuff up and down stairs.

The location was great, and the actual property was stunning, very comfortable with lots of facilities. Very clean and tidy. It was a great stay in a fantastic property. Will return in future for sure.

Having to climb into bath to have a shower. No lift to reach bedrooms; member of staff offered to carry bags. Weren’t told that dinner service finished early on Sundays until went to order food, then asked to hurry up making choice.

the fact that they didn't service the room had to ask at 5pm for fresh towels ect. Got back in the room at 10pm and still not done they had put a radiator in the room which was not requested which made it stifling hot. went down to reception to ask what was going on they didn't know. They then sent clean towels up as no house keeping was available. However this ment no fresh bottled water and no refill for tea and coffee and sugar not major stuff but attention to details is a must.
