The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The location was OK, but the parking was a nightmare. I requested parking when I booked, as I was on a late ferry. I was told there were three spaces in front of the house, and parking on the road was free. However, the three spaces were very tight and after spending 20 minutes cruising around the area to find a space with no luck, I had to squeeze my car in the middle of two cars and then squeeze myself out. I am not an overly large person, but if I were any chubbier, I would not have managed. On the postive side the bed sheets were clean as was the shower.

Parking rubbish as noted above. In my room the bins had not been emptied and there was no mug for tea nor a glass in the bathroom. (In fairness when I complained online via email, the manager came down and handed me a mug. I asked him to empty the bins which, he just whipped out the plastic liner of the one in my bedroom, but did not replace the liner. The bathroom one was never emptied.) The carpet had clearly not been hoovered as there was a long piece of string on it. My friend's room was even worse. The carpet was stained and grubby and the stool in the room was badly stained and grubby. There were blood stains on the pillow protector, visible through the pillow case. The wall in the bathroom was only half painted. There was also a fire alarm at 500 AM, so 9 people stood outside while the manager searched the rooms. When he gave the all clear, he did not bother to check if we were all present before disappearing. We never learned what set off the alarm. I should note I mentioned the issues with my room with the person answering the emails and suggested they ensure their staff did a room check after finishing each room. She said they do.

The hotel was conveniently located near enough to a venue we were going to and the Cheshire Oaks retail outlet. Bar was really nice and staff very polite.

Our room seemed to be near an engine room as all we could hear all night was the drone of a motor all night.
