The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

We booked the double with external bathroom (located 2nd floor) but all was very clean and well kept with a view of the. garden alsoThe bathroom it self was nice and quite big with a walk in shower. The guest house was a 30 minute walk from the royal mile making it in a great position as your still close to the centre but also in the quieter area of leith as well as having lots of on road parking around the area.

Good breakfast. Dinner was fine. Staff very helpful. It was a strangely cold night and Catherine ensured I got a radiator delivered to my room. Room had TV. I also did a free boot camp in the morning at the health centre and had a swim. Remember to bring a towel from the hotel.

Really easy to get lost as there are so many rooms and different buildings. There were no small tables to eat at as far as I could see, so I felt a bit conspicuous eating alone but no big deal.

Clean, modern hotel just a stone's throw from Cardiff Central Station. A really convenient location both for train connections and to the city centre. Comfortable bed and really helpful staff. A basic but good breakfast with a variety of hot and cold foods.

The shower continually cycled between hot and cold/lukewarm, but this wasn't too big a deal.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good instructions for entering the building. Good location for restaurants, coffee shops etc. Free parking was a bonus.

Room felt too hot for us! Plug points were hidden. Needed more light in the corridor.

Lovely old pub in a scenic location in a pretty village. Very relaxing. Very friendly staff and the food was excellent.

Only gripe was there wasn't much room to walk comfortably around the bed to the en suite bathroom. Apart from that the room and bathroom, was very nice, very clean and well equipped.

Day one before check in, met with friends for lunch. Food (steak & Ale pie) was rock hard, cheesecake base was also like rock, ran out of many beers at 1pm on a Saturday! My friends food was also cold. Plus lot of things on the menu, they didn't have! Room was okay, but dated and no shower, only a bath, carpet had seen better days!. Next morning breakfast was okay. We thought we would try the food again, this time in the evening, options again missing from menu and lack of beer. Breakfast next morning, mine was overdone and burnt, wife's egg was only just cooked! Top it all, the gardener was cutting the grass outside our window at 08:30am!! It was our Wedding Anniversary, which I mentioned before arrival, but not a hint regarding this from staff!! We stay in the area about four to five times per year, I would only stop here again, if I couldn't get in anywhere else!! Not the best by a long chalk!!!
