Very conveniently located close to motorway junction on our journey from Berkshire to Aberdeen. Lovely property with very comfortable and well-appointed ensuite bedrooms and a guests' lounge for relaxing in the evening. Helen and Stewart were very welcoming hosts, and the full Scottish breakfasts were perfectly cooked and kept us going until tea-time. The Stornoway black puddings were the best I have ever tasted (we stocked up to take home!!). Auchenlea will be a definite revisit on our next trip North.

It was perfect in every respect - nothing to not like.

For starters, please note that this is not a 5* hotel with all the trimmings but a guesthouse, so the rating is based on price paid and services on offer.. If you want a simple comfortable bed/soft shower, easy access to town and with a full breakfast prepared in minutes (yes, they only serve after 800/815am) then this is the place for you. Paula was a wonderful host and I spent 5 days there with no major issues.

Noisy neighbours at midnight, but that can't be accounted for. If you can see past the dated dull decor and poor fittings then don't worry about booking this guesthouse.

Excellent customer service right from the start. Donna, Marina and Taiya were really helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were really good value for money too. No complaints at all, would recommend.

The location was perfect for us, and multi storey carpark next door. The bar area and outside seating was lovely. The room was lovely and clean, nice comfy bed.

The cooked breakfast was poor not the standard i have had at other Malmaison hotels. I requested an ashtray for use outdoors the bar staff just said they are outside, I explained there wasn't and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked off...not helpful

It was all good stuff, location was perfect as I was going to Shepherd’s Bush empire to see a band and was literally round the corner.

The shower put me off, as I’m always used to a shower hanging over me and not to the side where you had to take off the handle.

Property exceeded expectations, everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The hospitality and help from the owner was brilliant.

Friendly staff, lovely clean hotel. Comfortable beds and an ideal location

The only problem was that it’s a little like a maze, I got lost a few time. Maybe some signs to direct people around would make it perfect.

All good, just the bathroom is a little dated.
