I called the day before to check the arrangements for access and was told that the information would be sent 09:00 on the day. i had to message via Booking.com because I had heard nothing. When they responded it was like a ransom request. They will not provide the door code until I have completed an ID check and paid a considerable deposit. I had to pay an extra £35 non returnable damage waver fee as the best option.

Quite easy to find, although the road leading up to it is not vehicle friendly. The pod itself is good size, they provide blinds, which is much needed and appreciated, a space heater - also much needed. Couldn’t really hear other travellers which is nice, quiet and peaceful. Kettle is useful.

The shower was horrendous. The waves of scolding hot and icy cold water every 30 seconds or so, regardless of what temperature I chose was awful. Watch out for the planters, as they are low enough so You can’t see them from the side mirrors from the car, I managed to leave a huge scratch on my car :(

Lovely room, very clean. Inn was in a good location, very good selection for breakfast which was cooked fresh to order. We had an evening meal which was also excellent (Best pie I’ve had). All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Lovely stay and very good value for money.

The view from the property was exceptional. Fortunately for us, we were able to park the car directly outside the property, which was really helpful.

The property was described as 'Luxury', but really did not meet this standard. It was comfortable, but at over £300 per night, that would be expected. The bathrooms and kitchen were modern, but as we had problems with the hot water (and heating), we were unable to fully appreciate them. We were compensated £31 for this inconvenience. For comparison, after leaving Marazion, we stopped at an absolutely gorgeous (truly luxurious) hotel in Hampshire for £165 including breakfast. Everyone knows Cornwall is expensive, but this property was very disappointing. It felt like we were simply paying for the view.

The windows did not shut properly and so lots of noise from outside and the road. The blinds did not fit the windows so let lots of light in and need replacing! There was no plug in the sink and nowhere to hang or store things in the shower room as no hooks or shelves were present. The room was very hot with no way to cool it down. Lots of internal noise from other guests and a power cut too. A few bits of debris found on floor as had not been cleaned properly either. Very dispaoointing for the night, although have stayed in worse.

Room was noisy at night. Sounded like a washing machine going, but presumably the piping. Room keys were a nightmare. Kept not working. Toilet didn't flush very well.
