  The location is great - right in the middle of Kendal with all the shops on your doorstep but at the same time it is very quiet because the cottage has 2 foot thick walls and is located in a small cul-de-sac. It was very clean and is attractively furnished, decorated and generally very comfortable.

  I have already reported a fault with the dining table which made it very wobbly! We would have found a microwave oven helpful and would also have welcomed door stops as most of the interior doors automatically shut which is a bit irritating at times (manoeuvring suitcases, shopping etc). The double beds in the two smaller bedrooms are very comfortable but small so in my view wouldn’t be ideal for 2 adults! It was great to have somewhere to park the car but the car port/ garage would be tight if not impossible for two cars!! We put all our rubbish in the black bin as we didn’t know what the recycling arrangements were.

  Beautiful and spacious property with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Light and airy, comfortable beds, powerful shower and lovely views across the rooftops. Easy walk to bus stops into city centre.

  Check in was efficient and friendly. Room was a reasonable size, comfortable, and had a nice power shower.

  Attitude of the bar staff was extremely poor - I ordered a pint and a meal, and then was informed that I could not charge it to my room (even though I had my key and card with me) and the pint was literally taken out of my hand! I ended up having my meals and drinks over the road at The Falcons Nest, meaning that the hotel lost out on quite a bit of money!
