We stay as a group every year just for a few nights, the staff are friendly and helpful (good communication) rooms are clean with tea and coffee tray comfy bed, location is excellent the parking is cheap at £6 for 24hrs (you'll need to pop in reception for a token on arrival) carpark is next door. Breakfast was cooked well and lovely bacon only thing missing was alittle crossiant or cake but again staff lovely! For the money we are always pleased with our stay.

The only thing I would say is we came in late and asked for the room keys for a few rooms and it was just given over no questions asked ,i think for security the surname should be asked :) Also better quality toilet roll

The location was stunningly beautiful, as were the grounds, with great views across the lake. The hotel itself was impressive with lovely decor. The bedroom was well appointed with a comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities. In particular we were impressed with the large old fashioned kitchen where breakfast was served, and the magnificient staircase.

The shower in the room was too hot and could not be adjusted to be colder. The tap in the sink was broken. Probably our biggest gripe was that all the food (dinner and breakfast) was served on cold plates which is something that we brought to the attention of the restaurant manager as the food did not stay hot enough, and was luke warm.

The staff were very friendly. I chose this hotel because it was near to the venue I was attending and it had parking. The bedroom was big and airy, had tea and coffee making facilities and was clean. There was a lovely big bath and a decent shower. Two sinks. A pump hand soap. Shampoo sachets. (No shower gel though) It was quiet through the night.

The bed wasn't at all comfortable. I've travelled extensively and have stayed in many places with hard beds but this one was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've come across. They might want to get rid of all the cobwebs in the bathroom, there was a lot...(they don't bother me, but I'm sure there are people who won't welcome them!)

Perfect location, stunning views, secure off street parking, restaurant, bar and food excellent, great place to spend your evenings, beds comfortable and very clean, bathrooms good too very clean, had good nights sleep was busy weekend but rooms quiet.

Our room was up 2 flights of steep stone spiral stairs, not great. The room was fine but had a large beam across it, at about 5ft, also not ideal. Breakfast was ok but not spectacular, we had dinner again ok, very limited choice for vegetarians.

Comfy rooms with easy access. Good food and menu. Clean and modern en suite. Reasonably priced bar with good selection. Swimming pool and leisure facilities excellent.

£15 for breakfast was a bit OTT, also at checkout they were asking for extra £21 per room, although we had paid for all 3 rooms through here, so make sure to keep voucher. Taxi or car required to go anywhere from hotel.
