The room was very comfortable if a bit dark but this was made up for by having a conservatory on the front where you could sit and eat. The wet room was very spacious with a superb rain shower. Superbly equipped with kettle, microwave, and toaster with fresh milk, selection of cereals, yogurt, orange juice and a great selection of tea and coffee. Friendly and helpful host who cooked a superb breakfast and we also took advantage of the lovely evening meal offered.

It's a very minor point but it would have been nice to have a chair to watch TV rather than have to sit on the bed but this could only have been achieved by taking out the sofa bed which would then make the room less suitable for families.

Nicely decorated place, comfy room, clean and bright. Breakfast was excellent, and they were very flexible with food options, going out of their way to accommodate me even with my long list of food intolerances.

The Loopy Shrew is in a great location. The bar and restaurant were amazing, good food and drink and really nice, helpful staff.

Our room was a little small, and there was not much room to move around the bed. The room itself, in my opinion, could do with a paint as there were lots of marks all over the walls. One of the wall lights didn't work, and as this was the main source of light in the room other than a small lamp, it was a little dull/dark.

Only 4 sockets in a room for 6 people (all of them at the bed end), no socket in the bathroom (to use the hair dryer), mattresses were very soft, no storage room (not even a small bench)

The lift broke, which made it tricky for us with our pushchair. Plus there was a very loud couple in a next-door room who were making very loud "couple" noises but because the hotel isn't staffed at night we had no one to complain to, which made for a miserable night for us with our six-month-old daughter.
