Perfect location between Bletchley Park and Silverstone over Father's Day weekend. Very clean, comfortable, newly outfitted room in an annex next to the pub. Ate dinner at the restaurant which exceeded my expectations. Not fine dining but very well cooked and a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and clearly wanted us to have a nice stay.

Though a Nespresso machine was in the room there were no pods. Nescafe, tea and cocoa mix were provided however. Room was on the small-side but suited us well for a one night stay.

Reception staff were great. We arrived early expecting to leave stuff in our car, but they found us a room that was ready. Bar was open late so we could have a drink after the trek back from the download festival and a very nice pizza.

Very well appointed apartment in a great location. Everything looked new. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well equipped. On-site parking was good with direct access into apartment. Easy walk to town centre and seaside walk.

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The flat was modern, clean and as advertised with good facilities. One of the beds in particular was super comfy. The property was in a good location to visit local attractions.

The first night we had no sleep at all. The traffic was very loud at the front plus the seagulls made noises throughout the night. At 6am we could hear the people in the flat above walking around. The worse thing however was the noise from around the back that first night. At around 3am dogs started barking like mad, people shouting and a police siren. It felt a bit scary. The next morning a Police car was outside next door for quite some time. Obviously something had happened that night. When we went downstairs the next morning the main back door entrance was open/unlocked which made me feel nervous (I am guessing people who use the other flats had not locked it behind them). The front door did not feel secure enough as there was a big gap down the side despite being locked. The tv didn't work despite numerous tries. On the third day we purchased some new batteries for the remote and then it worked fine.

We recently stayed at the Daffodil for my 40th birthday, expecting a luxurious experience, but were left disappointed. While the massage at the spa was enjoyable, the overall spa facilities were lacking and did not provide the relaxing environment we anticipated. The room was below par, with no proper dressing area, an uncomfortable mattress, and a chipped bed frame. The only notable feature was the view of the lake, which did not compensate for the lack of comfort and amenities.Our dining experience was mixed; the main course was delightful, but the starter and dessert were very disappointing. However, the staff at the restaurant were exceptionally nice and attentive, which was a highlight. Overall, the experience did not justify the high cost, and we believe significant improvements are needed in the room quality, spa facilities, and dining consistency to meet guests' expectations.
