Contemporary elegant well designed room and en-suite, spotlessly clean. Great breakfast, even had gluten free bread. Lovely staff, polite, helpful, welcoming, professional and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The host was super friendly and accommodating. We arrived off the ferry at 11.30pm and he was on hand to help us and others find our rooms. Great space. Breakfast was great and plentiful the following morning.

Great location, very cosy and homely feel. Clean and supplied lots of tea, milk, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Pet friendly and would highly recommend.

Breakfast was nice, shower was really good, WiFi strong, lot's of parking, and staff were friendly and polite. Room was spacious and practical.

Bar was really dirty and sticky and bath was not clean. Room was uncomfortably hot and made it difficult to sleep, unpleasant night as a result and very tired following day. Not the hotels fault, but road noise is loud and relentless. It cannot be escaped in the room or beer garden.

Once inside the room it was clean although a little outdated, the lady that checked me in was nice and informative

It was a bit grotty once you stepped out the room, quite steep steps and then you accessed a road through a long alley which had rubbish and weeds or through the kitchen of the pub which again was a bit dingy

The restaurant food was very ordinary. Caesar salad chicken was processed finely chopped pieces with a very garlicky sauce. Not the best. But promptly served. Breakfast was much better with a good selection.

Staff seem nice and I do not wish to go into details of critics, but it really is not acceptable to charge people for those rooms. We booked in good faith, expecting decent basic accommodation , but what we found is bellow par on so many levels. Sorry, but if you don't already know it, someone needs to tell you.

I look for carparking facilities. This cost us £60 extra as the hotel doesn't have a deal with the carpark. We paid for superior room. It wasn't there was an empty cupboard where the fridge should be. It was dark and quite dinghy. The false wall/headboard panel made a strange noise if you moved. The shower dispensers didn't work......
