This is a wonderful traditional hotel set in a glorious location immediately adjacent to a river. It was easy to find - excellent parking. The staff team was very welcoming and very helpful. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a great view of the river. It was very clean. A good television. Nice Bath-shower. The breakfast was superb. The bar is very nice and not noisy. Wild swimming half a mile away along a lovely manmade river path. I shall definitely return.

We loved this old, elegant hotel. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Specifically, we appreciated Vanessa’s help with our early check-in and her help with our bicycle storage. She is a delightful person, along with Lisa.

Perfectly located near all local attractions. Sitting room and outdoor terrace were lovely. All the staff at the hotel were lovely and extremely helpful.

The hotel is close by the city but is relatively quiet for London. The room itself was quite comfortable.

The check in process was poor especially having pre checked in. The phone in the room was disconnected and the lighting in the room made the reconnection a little frustrating. Room service had to be paid on the spot which I’d never encountered before. The hotel price itself was pretty steep but London overall seems to be getting overpriced and I would avoid unless having to be there for work.

We had 2 rooms.. The heating did not work in the suite and in the other it was the heating in the bathroom that did not work. On the other hand, at this price, one could imagine that we would save elderly people from lugging their luggage up a very steep staircase. The staff is too few to help so why not provide an elevator or a freight elevator. If it is not possible inside, it could be installed at the back of the building where you can already see from the corridor huge pipes (ventilation or heating probably)
