First room smelt horrendous, bad drains/sewerage smell. We were offered a second room, that resembled the first! THIRD Room was clean and fresh smelling. I have never ever had to complain about a room before but on the first room the smell was so horrendous/nauseous, I was literally heaving, seriously. I was in tears we’d booked what we thought to be four star hotel, it was a special anniversary, I was heart broken. Third room (on a different floor) was acceptable. I defy anyone to have stayed in the first room, I just wanted to go home. Thankfully final room was much better!

My husband made Staff aware I have a serious allergy when we booked dining for the evening. Meal arrived, I questioned whether my allergy had been respected, on checking with the Chef, it had not, the offending part of my meal was then removed! Had I eaten, trustingly it would have been an immediate hospital visit for me!!! No apology in the world would have saved me from what would have been at least a distressing time, ending an hope of enjoying our break. I am just so pleased I double questioned whether my allergy had been acknowledged.

A very friendly and professional couple run this place, and its 4,000-acre sheep farm.The bedrooms and common rooms are furnished in a top-quality country house style. The log fires in the sitting room and kitchen/breakfast room were lit each day. The lodge is a beautiful building owned by the same family for many generations.The quality of the breakfast was equivalent to what you would get in a four or five star hotel. The lodge is in a very peaceful area, but well located for history enthusiasts (Culloden and its visitor centre), Loch Ness and Inverness.

Absolutely beautiful well prevented three bedrooms home. The lounge was comfy with plenty of seating for the three of us. Was able to take our pet dog found huge field five minutes from the house. Short drive to the beach and to a stunning Park I can highly recommend Bradley fish and chips.. Also The India for two great take aways..

Old property that had been looked after and sympathetically modernised. The en-suite was fab with a brick build shower cubicle, a splendid looking bath (a longer stay would have allowed use of it) and lots of space. Restaurant within the building - great. Location - top notch. Parking which was secure - tick.

Nothing. For some people they might struggle that there was no lift. The stairs were nicely spaced and not too steep so that was good.

Room itself comfortable, clean with plenty of storage room and room to move about. Tea, coffee and biscuit supplies good. Greeting was friendly. Parking very close by with own parking permit. Thanks for my stay.

We were told the heating had been put on for an hour before we got there and although the radiator was set at 0 in the room, it still appeared to be giving off heat into the evening and was a bit warm for me; it would have been good to have an indication in the room as to whether it was controlled centrally. Fortunately the window could be opened. The room probably needs a little love in places.

A general cleaning is highly recommended, the accommodation was not as tidy as it should have been, smells should be removed. Renovation also highly recommended for the bathroom. The bedding was not prepared for the living room sofa. Bathroom is accessible within the bedroom.

Didn’t have veggie lasagna Walls thin All I could hear was love making through out the night from room above Although majority of room clean earrings and rubbish under bed. Very old fashioned No restaurant (eat meal in bar)
