We enjoyed our stay at Crab Pot Cottage, aptly named for a fisherman's house - comfy bedroom with a large ensuite. We liked the tea tray with fresh milk and the little touches. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. The cottage is in the centre of a village with its own charm and we loved getting up at dawn to explore Flamborough Head. Saw 100 seals on the beach.

We should have eaten out earlier as the local pubs had closed for food by 7.30pm on a Monday evening. Plenty of options at Bridlington

what superb value for money no frills. was a late booking the host answered the phone straight away, had oven ,washing machine and a dryer. i had a lovely bath ! i needed cheap and cheerful as i was on a budget, and it certainly was that!

the corridors and the rooms were SO HOT! We had to have the air con on all night and we were still sweltering. very stuffy indeed

The hotel looks derelict. Nothing like the thumbnail picture. Access road atrocious; take care if you’re arriving in the dark as the potholes are massive and could cause damage to your vehicle. Location could be made to look better with a bit of basic landscaping and road sweeping. Room carpet was stained and filthy. Bed reasonably comfortable, but only supplied with one flat pillow each.

Room had no window ..and that wasn't mentioned in the description . Bed sheet , duvet was stained .. Smell !!! Had an awful , sweaty stale smell and after two incense sticks it was no better . The toilet seat was loose and I didn't realise until the toilet seat cover hit my back . At the back of the toilet there was a bowl collecting water from the waste pipe. There were signs up telling residents to ' clean up , mop ' after using shower, bath sink .! No evidence of an on site cleaner keeping it clean .. .. and there were many , many people using those bathrooms . The shower sealant was mouldy , discoloured . There were other residents personal toiletries clogging up any shelving or just left in shower tray. I tried a second bathroom, but it was just as bad . Broken plastic bedside lamp with a red bulb .. terrible . The receptionist 'mopped' yes mopped the CARPET !! in the room id booked on arrival.. apparently to try to take away the smell of sweaty feet . I'm not joking . I put the throw from the bed over that area .. as it was wet and the smell was worse as it dried out . The carpet in there was patched together and stained in parts ..Cushions were spotted with paint , walks were grubby Receptionist came later with cardboard to cover the wet carpet patch ! The reception is a joke . You can't get in ,see in.. until they unlock the door . From the outside the front of the hotel , lower windows were covered in bars .. it looked like a prison . You come /go via a rusty, steep, slippery fire exit if you don't want to call the receptionist at the front via Ring . If you did come to the top of stairs above reception , there was a sign saying no entry .. and door to reception ..another sign saying staff only . So really only a rest fire exit . The fire exit leads into a run down back yard .. Door under the exit was not used but really badly deteriorating ..
