  Our hosts Chris and Jackie were charming. The room was lovely. There were thoughtful details like milk for tea and chilled bottles of water in the fridge on arrival. Perfect location. Near enough to walk in to town and enjoy everything without the accompanying noise. Quiet residential area. Would definitely revisit 😁.

  Everything was excellent , the view ,the staff made everyone welcome even the pets ,the food was amazing , some might say the decor needs update but I think it fits in well with the character of the building . Would go back in a second

  The room was nice and comfortable. Lovely walk-in shower. Most of the staff were friendly and courteous. The breakfast was good. Several choices of cereal, fully cooked breakfast or just the bits you want, a bit of fresh fruit.

  Bear in mind we stayed 5 nights. A change in breakfast choices would have been nice. More fresh fruit and plain yoghurt would be good. The cleaners should be asked to clean marks and handprints from the walls and doors, particularly in the ensuite. They change the towels every day and don't offer for you to put them on the floor if you want them changed.

  Extremely convenient location (2 minutes from the rail station). I booked a single room but got a twin room. The room was big, the bed comfortablr, linens clean and there are all the essentials. 24/7 reception is also lovely.

  The building is old, so the floorboard crack. This and the old shash window facing the main road means there is a lot of noise. I had my earplugs. I could not lock the door at night (I am sure you needed the card to come in) so it did not feel 100%safe. Also, the whole hotel smells of a misture of dust/dump/smoke (that old carpeted places have).
