The location of the property in relation to my activity of the weekend was perfect. The ambience of the dining room was very pleasant and the staff very courteous. The porridge was excellent particularly with the cream and honey. My Full English was fine, if a little on the meagre side. My coffee was excellent both in taste and quantity.

I was shocked to have been charged £25 for a sandwich and a gin and tonic! I was disappointed not to have a wardrobe in my room. I have never stayed in a hotel that does not have a wardrobe. I was disappointed not to be able to regulate the temperature of the shower easily at all, which meant that the water was either boiling or scolding. I was disappointed that the remote control did not turn on the television. I was disappointed that even after mentioning the issue of the remote control to reception, on my return later, the control did not function. I was disappointed with the difficulty of exiting the property onto the main road. There is so little visibility splay that in order to see if one can move onto the road, one has to place ones car on the carriageway to be able to see adequately.

Good location, nice to relax with a glass of wine in the evening and all you can drink coffee in the bar area. Excellent staff from the front desk to housekeepers. So pleased with the politeness and service.

Very clean, well presented. It had lots of nice little extras we didn’t expect like a nice coffee machine and bath salts. All in all we were very happy.

The only thing that could be improved was the bed. My feet reach the bottom of the bed so got stuck in the wooden thing that sticks up at the end of the bed
