Beautiful annexe. Very modern and a great size. The host was very helpful and friendly.. There was a lovely touch leaving us supplies for breakfast and there were plenty of home comforts. . Also a lovely sunny garden. It was great value for money. We could not fault it. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants and transport facilities

It was in a Ulez zone as we have an older car but that was my fault for not looking into this. It was not a problem.

Hotel was excellent, we stayed for our first wedding anniversary and the hotel did a little something in the room which was a nice touch. Room generally was very nice with a stunning lake view. Bed was comfortable. Food at the Boathouse onsite restaurant was also very nice.

Only downside was we found the room very hot, it wasn’t a particularly warm day/evening when we stayed either so not sure why it was so warm. There was a stand up aircon unit which helped.

The breakfast was excellent. I have allergies and these were catered for very well. The staff at breakfast were warm and friendly.

The sitting rooms are used during the day for craft groups and meetings. The rooms are not hired by the groups they are only asked to buy a coffee/drink.. I was told by a crochet group leader, I may wish to vacate the sitting room as her group were expected. I found this very rude as I was a paying guest. I would suggest that the use of sitting rooms for meetings and crafts are made clear when booking a room. I was attending a funeral and would have appreciated a quiet sitting room to relax in. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in where the guest sitting rooms are used in this way.

Nice hotel local to attractions and location good for hiking but close to shops if needed

Very small bathroom, had to climb behind door to shut it. First room they gave me smelt of cigarettes so I requested to be moved which they did but room was small, bed up against the wall and not a lot of storage. Bed wasn’t comfy and could feel springs and I’m not a heavy person.

Used night before flight so just about okay. Location close to airport.

Noisy room, so had to change to another. Old, in need of an update.

Very clean and had everything we needed.

You definitely need a car to get around which is fine. However, the Oxford park and ride is only 10 minute drive with great links to major cities.
