My room was a detached Summer House, with the most delightful little conservatory attached. The room itself was large, beautifully appointed and had a superb bathroom. Kettle and a selection of teas and coffee were supplied (the tea and coffee in a lovely little lacquer box) and water with glasses on a silvered tray. Very nice touches.

I would have appreciated a fridge - particularly as an ice bucket was supplied, and, as the room was away from the main building, perhaps a mini bar. The radiator in the conservatory did not seem to work so sitting out on a typical Englsih summer's evening (freezing) wasn't an option. Also with no indication the rooms may not be in the main building, you heave your bags into reception only to find you have to re-load the car and drive round the estate to the satellite rooms. The the receptionist, though delightful, said I should park in 'car park 3.' So I drove round for 10 minutes til I discovered there was no car park 3. He meant car park SPACE 3......my grumpiness soon wore off though.

Our overnight stay at The Waves was extremely comfortable and the full breakfast was a welcome delight to start our new day of adventuring. Highly recommend. We only wished we were staying longer.

Everything was great but the bed was a bit soft for my personal preference. Sarah provided a vegetarian breakfast.

There was a lot of furniture stuffed into the room I was in, which made it not so functional.

Small shower, somewhat cramped and splashing over the floor so having to be dried with floor towel provided.
Stow on the Wold, United Kingdom

Located a short walk away from the centre of Stow. Quiet surroundings.

The shower had a very poor flow and the shower hose and wooden mat showed signs of black mould. The central heating was on full in the living room and the room was extremely hot. We had to open windows and front door to cool. Thermostat had a sticker on saying not in use so couldn’t understand why the central heating was on in June!
