Amy who checked us in and looked after us in the morning of check out was brilliant! Upgraded our room to a beautiful suite. We ate here in the evening and the food was fab! We looked around The George and thought it would be an excellent venue for weddings. Would highly recommend staying at this beautiful remote country pub / hotel!

The only minuscule dislike was the cleanliness of the shower - bit grubby and the plug hole was blocked. Very minor though, and would definitely stay here again :)

We were made very welcome. The room was very big, clean and comfortable. Martin, Enrico and Jason were brilliant hosts. The food was excellent and the bar staff very friendly. Really enjoyed our stay at the Rose and Crown.

Location was perfect for the Shepherd's Bush Empire. Booking-in instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Apartment felt secure and was immaculately clean. Was quiet, so had a good night's sleep.

It was in the centre of Tavistock and just a few minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and indoor market. Another bonus was that the hotel had parking.

The only thing we were surprised at was that the hotel has started charging guests who had not booked direct with them £8 per night! However when we pointed out that we were unaware of this they waived the charge so good customer service.

Plenty of parking spaces right outside the door of our motel style room.Good WiFi, the room was warm. The hotel staff were friendly.

I booked for a four poster room but when I checked in because we had a dog we weren’t allowed to stay in the hotel main building we were given a motel room which was substandard. Very tired. Furnishings were old the toilet didn’t flush properly. The fire alarm sounded at least two times we had to vacate the rooms on both occasions and it was a fault on the system.
