Return visit to this comfortable hotel in a great location for visiting the Galloway coast. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Food delicious and well priced. Can recommend Thai curries and creme brulee. Interesting decor, room quite 'retro' - but really spacious and very comfortable bed. Good breakfast cooked to order.

The Inn is located right next to Beer beach and along the Coast path, which is great. Nice place to have a beer in the evening as well.

Small room ( no.2 ) with nowhere to work. It was looking a little worn and was basic. I asked if there was another room but they were full. Restaurant was cold (not only me commented ). Room was cold had to specifically ask for the heating to be put on. There was a noise outside my room all evening till 9pm.... sounds like a compressor. Clanging of beer barrels for a long while.. Compressor kicked off again at 7am. Something like a industrial washing machine kicked off at around 7am. Asked to see a manager on departure - he wasn't available. I did not think after spending over £120 ( inc food ) it was good value.

The lift to go to the pool area was slow to arrive. Only one hour slots for the pool with children. 2 hours would be great.
