The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

I really liked the proactive and helpfulness of the staff. Especially the person on the gym at reception who was particularly responsive when I mentioned there was something floating in the pool
Negative section of review
The overall feel of the pool area. It felt tired and when floating in the pool, the ceiling was not conducive with relaxation. The pool also had a number of things floating in it like plasters which suggest the pool filter system was not working very well and did not install much faith in the overall cleanliness of the pool.

The lodge and setting were beautiful, if your looking for somewhere quiet, this is the place. The lodge was kitted out with everything you need. Loved the quirky paintings!

The place is quite rural, one pub in the vicinity, this is really nit picking, but a little welcome pack - even at cost would of been nice, there were tea coffee and washing up facilities even oil and tin foil, but some milk would of been great, but as I said this is nit picking

Quirky Hotel in ex Refuge Assurance building. Beautifully and cleverly redesigned. Room was large and water, tea and coffee and biscuits and crisps in room.

When we checked in the guy made me feel silly for booking with booking. com abd not through the hotel . Our room was tiny.. not a full double bed there were 2 big chairs in the room taking up space the tv covered the dressing table mirror and there were 2 dirty cotton pads under there when we arrived. There waa a small decorative throw on our bed which was filthy and covered in hairs which we removed and the hairs it left on our bed. The cleaner put it back putting more dirt and hairs on our bed but she didn't removed the dirty cotton pads that were under the dressing table. The lamp was dusty the wallpaper had dirty marks and rios on it .My daughter has coeliac disease we told waiting staff at breakfast one suggested she had green tea and a manager was sent over a lady with a Spanish accent who told her she could have oatmilk. It's really important that staff understand that people who have coeliac disease are unable to have gluten including oats.
