Loved the cabin. We had the one with 2 bedrooms. Well decorated and furnished. Great showers. A lovely lounge with fabulous views. The hot tub is good. Coffee and tea facilities good but not suitable for self catering. But why would you want to cook with an excellent restauraunt with great choices and very good service. Breakfast is also excellent. We stayed 2 nights though I would stay longer. Although it is out in country within half an hour you can be sat on a York Park and Ride bus.

There seemed to be a problem with housekeeping. Not a cheap visit but they seemed to think making one bed and replacing mugs was a favour. The woman checking us out made sure we knew she had done that and nagged us for a tip. I would not give her a tip again. Service was already included on the bill. It left an unpleasant feeling afyer a great stay

The staff was prepared for us so within a few minutes we were in our room The atmosphere in the room was one of calm and relaxation. we fell asleep in little or no time. The staff made the one night stay seamless and memorable. We checked out in a jiffy and the taxi called by the staff was on time. We will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn during our next trip to London.

The location of the hotel was good as it was near to the music festival that we were attending for the weekend. Breakfast was nice, but busy, the swimming pool was a bonus and the showers were hot, the parking was free and the bed was comfy. The staff on the Saturday & Sunday were very helpful and helped with the issues we had with our room....thank you.

This hotel is a purpose built corporate hotel the main reception is nice, bright, clean and modern, but when you go upstairs to your floor ( we were on the 2nd floor ) the place is tired with thread bare carpet, marks & scuffs on the walls. Our room was ok, but not great and felt dated, the chiller fridge in our room did not work, the shampoo / shower gel in the shower had not been filled up and was empty, there was dust and bits on the floor and we had a rubbish view over looking the back of the hotel roof with aircon units on and where they have deliveries. When we arrived on the Friday night after a five hour drive there was no one on reception and when the guy did appear he was not very welcoming. When we got in our room we called down to raise the issues with the chiller & shower gel and was told they would send someone up, but no one came up to our room!! The staff the following day were great and very helpful. The pool is a bonus with a jacuzzi, sauna & steam room, but the changing rooms are not clean and around the pool area. The white grate around the edge of the pool is green & black and some bits are broken and there is paint flaking off the walls. Apart from the reception area the whole place needs to be refurbished.....just felt tired and a bit grubby!

There seem to be inconsistencies with the standard of the check in people were receiving at reception. Ours was nothing like the people infront of us. We were not asked about any allergies and we were not offered the welcome treats. When we got to our room there was hair in the bed which was immediately reported and the carpet had crumbs and bits of plastic all over it. The following day our room had not been refreshed and clean like we’d ask and again we had to report this.
