Once we got orientated to the location it was great. Easy walking (a few hills) to centre of Nottingham, the Castle and the canals/river. Lots of pubs, restaurants and things to do. We ate in most nights as there was a kitchen. We also used the washer/dryer which was very useful, once we worked out how to use it. We went to the Castle, but was a bit disappointed that there's not much of the castle left. We did go on a weekend and there was a medieval festival and we learned a lot about Robin Hood. We also did the Robin Hood tour which was excellent. We visited the caves and also the Justice Museum, which were both a great way to spend a rainy day.

The shower was very hard to regulate and did not have much water pressure, but we managed with it.

The hotel was very close to Glasgow Central train station where we arrived quite late in the evening so an easy walk to the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were adequate for the price we paid. The lobby area was a bit dark for my liking but it was comfortable and the bar staff friendly. The security on the door when we arrived back in after 10pm was reassuring but a bit concerning that it is required. The proximity to shops was very good, i can't speak for theatres or cinemas as i didn't see any.

For the money not a lot although i am not a fan of takeaway coffee cups for my morning cuppa. If i was staying for longer better hanging space would be an advantage but for the price and location this hotel was good.

Great welcome from June. The room was spotless, ensuite the same, comfy bed and all that was needed for one night or two. The gate situation for an early start was explained. All good.

Shower was ok but could have been better- more powerful and more space than in a little bath. There was no dressing gown for my husband and we had to wait a long time before someone brought it up to us. £5 tray charge for anything that was brought up by room Service (we asked for some glasses for our bottle of wine at reception and were told to ring from Our room) . Pool width not Particularly wide to allow a number of people in at once especially if there are people doing lengths. I was added to a mailing list / rewards thing without permission - they asked for my email address did it and the. Told me I’m now on their rewards scheme.
