The big 'LIKE' for us was the hosts, Liz & Dave are such lovely people. We found ourselves wanting to chat with them instead of getting out to see the area! Of course they offered impeccable advice on where to go and eat, places of interest and they have a huge selection of leaflets at the reception for visitors to take a way! The room we had was spotless and I've not slept so well in another bed for decades, it was silent, as requested. The breakfast was faultless, delicious, something for everyone... they've really put a load of love into their business and it was apparent right from the off :0)

We really didn't like leaving... we could have spent a week there, our children loved it and felt at home, it really was a great, long weekend and the perfect break from busy Birmingham.

Room was lovely and big - it was basic but had everything you need with plenty of cupboard space. Bathroom was nice. Toiletries supplied could have been better - only shower gel and soap. Beds were standard single size (twin room) - could have easily fit bigger beds in that room! But they were comfortable. Pillows were pretty terrible though so I'd advise you to take your own if you're fussy like me!

The pillows were terrible. Having to pay to use the swimming towels even though I was a hotel guest - but it was only £1 per towel.

Room a little tired but very clean. Comfy bed. Spacious bathroom. Tea coffee facilities good and fresh milk 👍 Food excellent. Staff very friendly.

The only thing was there was loud music until about 11.45 and we had a sporting event the next day so this wasn’t ideal as it kept me up! I think unfortunately our room was just right above the function room.

There was a gas oven that we struggled with making it work (we are used to an electric oven) but we cracked it at the end. Second thing was that the water pressure in the shower was low.
