Welcoming friendly helpful owners Natalia and Igor. Comfortable bed. Well located ample sockets in the bedroom for laptop, phone, hairdryer etc. Good sized mirrors well located in the bedroom and bathroom. I appreciated having a stand in the bedroom for my suitcase. The bathroom had a bath, which I prefer. A chandelier in the bathroom was a first for us! Tastefully decorated bedroom, bathroom and breakfast room with attention to detail. Very nicely cooked hot English breakfast, plus good quality tea and coffee. Exceptionally clean throughout the property. Lovely well-maintained garden and roof terrace with a sea view, plus a cosy comfortable conservatory. Sufficient on-site parking for guests. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again when next in the area. We rarely give a top rate score, but Rockleigh deserves this.

Great property close to the centre of Arundel. Stayed 1 night with a friend during a cycling trip of the South Downs way and this was the perfect overnight stop, would highly recommend to any cyclist tackling the SDW over two days. Rooms were large, bathroom has a great great shower and the kitchen was a good size and easy to use. Arundel has lots of cool pubs and restaurants and is a really picturesque town on the river.

Friendly welcome on arrival; the woman checking me in showed me my room rather than just give directions. Thoughtful. The bed was fairly comfortable. Overall for the price, it wasn't too bad. After reading the reviews, I knew what to expect. Set them low and you'll be happy! The connected Cobb Cafe offered a good continental breakfast and coffee.

Walls are paper thin, but I imagine most guests are either walking or on tours so unlikely to be partying all night. The place is definitely showing its age. Shower curtain full of mould stains - which I reported, so hopefully now incinerated.

It was exactly as described a single room, which was small, with a very new and modern bathroom. There wasn't much of a window but it was perfect for just the 1 overnight I needed to stay. Very clean and comfortable.

Nice bathroom clean and nice layout, the children really liked the loft room, nice view of the river, WiFi Cordless vacuum, constant hot water, well equipped kitchen.

Obstructed entrance with scaffolding, steepness of the stairs between floors, no cleaning products, extremely noisy fridge when trying to appreciate some quiet time. No dishwasher. Only 3 chairs for the dining room table. Having to park down the street. No where to put your shoes. And smelled a bit like pets/ dogs. To be fair we knew that there was no parking or dishwasher when we booked.

The hotel feels as though it could do with a refurbishment. The name implies it is rather a grand hotel but it definitely needs quite a substantial makeover to live up to it's name. In our case particularly the bathroom which looked 40 yrs out of date. We could see some effort has been made to improve things like new beds, and bedside tables, lamps etc but it needs further attention.
