The location is great, lovely views, quite (for Southend area at least). Close to good restaurants. This hotel could be the best in Southend with some investment. Very under capacity especially as it’s nearly summer.

Slightly tired inside and out, the superior sea view rooms are nicer than I thought they’d be though, ours was a bit small but our daughters was bigger. They just don’t make the most of the facilities. The restaurant was closed due to illness. The bar and lounge area need redecorating in more tasteful decor. The front terrace needs completely reforming. If it had been busy there are not many staff, but it wasn’t so they were bored. Had to find someone to serve at the bar. Super nice staff though.

Great location and a stunning setting. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of quality ingredients.

Staff at check could have been a bit more welcoming, although the lady at breakfast was fantastic. It seemed like the place was a little under staffed during our stay. No real atmosphere in the bar or lounge areas so ended up taking drinks back to the room.

I didnt like the hotel if that's what you call it it was filthy I don't know how they can pass that as clean glad I was only thare 2 nights I did try & get another hotel but everywhare was full I would never recommend this place to anyone only seen the staff once when we arrived the place is disgusting didn't evensleep under the bed covers nor put my bare feet on the carpet
