A beautiful room, fabulous coffee shop on the lower level for coffee & eats. Our room was serviced everyday which was lovely! Bus stopped outside the building which was fantastic for getting into the city, public transport easy to use. A beautiful village, pub across the road with beautiful meals which we ate at every night.

Booked a larger family room as been away for over two weeks and needed some space. Room 18 we were given which had broken window latches and couldn't secure the window. Reported this to reception and got nowhere then a 'Cancellation' came up and moved three floors with heavy bags only to be greeted with Gorilla tape holding on the shower head in room 56!! See pictures where a fire door is wedged open. A cupboard on the first floor stairs has missing handles. The windows were screwed shut, with no handles, the right window was unable to secure. The place needs a maintenance man with some pride to apply and the housekeepers need a snag check list. Just shocking now as always used this hotel but now every time it's a nightmare. No apologosies and no refund or reducation in price. I made the booking to pay at the hotel which means I would present a card. The payment was already taken when we arrived at 3pm.

The windows appeared extremely dirty, as if they hadn't been cleaned in decades. Additionally, the key card was unreliable and only worked sporadically, causing some frustration. While there was the Scottish breakfast, the lack of variety left something to be desired for those with different preferences. The provided shower gel was insufficient for two people over a two-night stay.
