Stayed for two nights in a family room, and I was very happy with my stay. The staff in reception, bar and restaurant are a credit to this place. Friendly and approachable. The room was clean, yes a little tired but we didn’t mind. Good size with a double and single. Large bathroom, again very clean! Tea making facilities good and access to iron/ ironing board etc. We didn’t hear any noise from other residents, but our room was at the end of corridor so no one walking past. We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t comment, but we had had dinner twice, the pizza was lovely! And the steak was cooked to perfection. From our experience we would recommend.

Was a little dated and tired. Kettle could do with a de scale! Quite warm but fan was provided and used.

Lovely location so close to the centre of Biggar. Charming hosts who were so helpful. Very well appointed room that was spacious but cosy & provided a great nights sleep with a delicious breakfast at the time we requested. Welcoming & friendly local residents when we dined at the local pub / walked around Biggar itself.

Issue with postcode as the Sat nav took us to a domestic residence at first, we were kindly redirected by the occupant. We would recommend providing “What Three Words” to aid future travellers - Old Mill B&B carpark is “Stockpile .sleepers.spent”

We enjoyed the location beings o close to the Edinburgh Castle, the Royal mile, and exploring the city. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, allowing us to leave our bags while we made last minute exploring.

Location was central to where we wanted to be. The staff were lovely, helpful and approachable. Breakfast choices were excellent. Clean comfortable room. Pleasant communal areas. Good food.

Requested a twin room on booking, but only a double was available. We were told that as a standard room was booked, we were given what was available. We only discovered this on arrival. My friend and I felt uncomfortable sharing a bed, so sleeping was difficult. However, the hotel was pleasant. Would stay again if the bed situation was what we wanted. The food was lovely, but expensive. They did have a deal that was value for money, but only if we had 3 courses, which was too much for us.

What a cute authentic English pub to stay in. Situated in a lovely village with some nice walks. Had dinner there which we enjoyed.
