  When I was late checking in, John came out and found me halfway down the Loch and gave me a lift the last mile back to the Farmhouse. Theresa cooked a great breakfast and even sent me on my way to Comrie with a baguette as hiking and nothing on route. Accommodation spotlessly clean, comfortable and in a great location. I was looked after really well and thanks again to you both for going above and beyond!

  We liked having detached accommodation with parking outside and being in the countryside. The location was excellent and central to everything we wanted to see. We stayed for 6 nights but never met the owners. It was great to have a washing machine, an excellent shower and comfortable bed. The kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated the tin of cookies and chocolates when we arrived.

  The only negative was the long narrow driveway to the property and the rather large potholes, otherwise a great place to stay.

  No breakfast and no host introduced themselves. Lots of dust in my room, also cold, very tired mattress and cheap thin duvet. Realy nothing like the photo - no way.

  It was cold, I don't think the heating came on at all as stated it would in the evening and morning. I heard someone in the kitchen on my first morning so went to introduce myself thinking it might be staff. It wasn't staff and the room was very grubby.

  I liked the room and the facilities available in the room (kettle, iron, towels, fridge, etc) was a nice touch - everything I needed for a night's stay.

  The room did not have a pleasant smell. I didn't like that the bathroom smelt of urine and body odour but I did notice that the toilet had used and hadn't been flushed. The fridge also smelt so foul (it smelt of stale urine) that I didn't dare use it. I didn't like that the only way to lift the blind was to roll it up and balance it on the window's latch. What I did about it: I went to the reception and ask if there was any air freshener available. I was handed a can of Fabreeze (at least I think it was Fabreeze) by a young man. I was surprised that he didn't ask me if there was a problem or what I wanted it for. He simply gave me the air freshener. I guess I expected to be asked if there was anything he could help with. I also didn't like that I had to manoeuvre my way around the great big pot hole at the entrance to the car park. I feared getting stuck or worse recking my car.

  We booked 2 rooms & ours wasn't cleaned ready for us on arrival, even though we requested early check in. The staff cleaned it straight away so no big problem. It wont put us off booking again.
