The check-in was smooth and friendly. All the staff were brilliant. Very friendly and attentive. The room was clean and well appointed. The bar was excellent and plenty of choice. So something for everyone. The food was delicious and real restaurant quality. Excellent value for money all round. A wonderful stay. I wholeheartedly recommend the Courtyard if you're going to Gatwick Airport

Quaint cottage but really only comfortable for 2, only 2 armchairs and 2 mugs, and the double bed is small. We had to turn the shower off while showering to allow the water to drain and prevent flooding. It's a really beautiful, quaint cottage with a really pretty garden. It was super clean aswell and the location is great. It's small though.

Great welcome from informative reception crew. The kids loved the room and facilities. Spacious bedroom, little noise. Lovely pool.

Maybe longer pool hours for the children as we'd been out all day and had to rush to get to the pool.

The lack of Staying Guest only space. The added 12.5. % service charge for everything, even when you carried the wine and the glasses to the table from the bar. Prices for wine on the list should be inclusive of service - didn’t discover until paid. Long wait outside spa to be allowed in and £30, evening reduction, per guest when you are staying in the hotel is extortionate. The pool was cool to the point of cold, and swim in an outdoor pool in Edinburgh in all weathers. This meant the jacuzzi area was also cool. The lift from spa to room wasn’t available after 7.30 pm even though the spa shuts at 8.00pm. On the Sunday we were out all day from 10.00am and our room wasn’t serviced when we returned at 6.00pm. Felt very disappointed
