The staff were lovely and the location worked well for me. The locals in the bar were also friendly and happy to chat which made the place welcoming. The parking was ok and the shower was good. Much more of a holiday place than suitable for business travle

There's no wifi of any quality anywhere - none in the rooms and only one side of the bar. This made it very difficult to do any work when at the accommodation. The food was a bit hit and miss, the first night was great, no food on a Wednesday evening, and on Thursday I had fish and chips which was awful. The breakfast didn't start until 8 and most of this must have been pre-cooked and then microwaved rather than cooked to order, the poached eggs were always hard, at best it was ok. I had a large room, the bed had a very thin foam matress, which was not comfortable.

Rooms looked out onto a lake with a paved terrace outside your room you could sit on so very pleasant. Room was spacious. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was extremely good, freshly prepared.

Rooms are very dated. Room smelled of smoking even though meant to be a non smoking room. I immediately phoned reception to say about this and was told smoke blew in from outside so nothing could be done about it.

The hotel failed to respond to a message I sent to them prior to our visit asking for a change..... The TVs were not working in any of the rooms due to a central ariel failure. The proprietor was unconcerned when we raised this matter.... On return from our evening meal in the village around 10:30 the entire ground floor of the hotel was in darkness and the front door was locked....!

I'm not sure that the carpet had been vacuumed. Walking around in bare feet, I kept picking up lots of bits and kept brushing them off my feet into the bin.

My request for 2 single beds was ignored. Bar closed during the day and when we returned at 11:00 pm. Room door was open when we arrived due to faulty lock that only worked on slamming the door shut.
