Very kind and welcoming owners who exceeded our expectations. Delicious breakfast, clean and contemporary bathroom and breakfast room, free parking, excellent location for exploring Anstruther. Extra facilities in the garden available but not used because we had so many places to visit.

The only room available was the family room for the dates we required. It was a decent size and lovely that it overlooked the front garden and Bankie park, but unfortunately the bathroom was not ensuite, however it was very near by and so not really a problem. We were informed about this prior to our visit.

There was no heat until the staff came to assist and turned it on at 11:30 pm. There was no hot water so one cannot take shower. The closet could not be used as the door handle was missing. After much attempt the staff (Jordan) managed to open it.

Car parking unavailable so we had to walk in the rain from York Road car park. No one advised upon booking and me speaking to receptionist twice that there could potentially be a lack of parking. Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Room extremely tired and underwhelming. Not worth price of room. Would not recommend and would not return especially as spa facilities are an add on also at this hotel with further charges to use it.
