Apartment is well appointed, bright and a great location right in the heart of Holt and we really enjoyed our three night stay. The beds are comfortable, shower works well with good water pressure. There's a nice large TV and modern kitchen appliances... everything you need. The allocated parking spot is approx a five minute walk... Holt is a really charming town and would recommend to visit.

Being picky - The roller blinds throughout the apartment aren't adequate to keep the light out. We stayed here when it was light until 10pm, so it's impossible to see the TV screen with so much light coming in ... That's the only thing that could be improved upon.

Where do I start, location is brilliant, value for money , staff were cheerful, kind , good communicators . We arrived after 22:30hrs but they ensured that check in was smooth with clear instructions. The property is amazing with so much potential but requires a bit of TLC. We enjoyed our stay regardless of other reviews that almost put us off

The property has so much potential, it’s crying for a bit of TLC. Amazing building . Furniture not as outdated as stated just TLC required and attention to detail . Our rooms were clean . The garden , the garden , lovely outside space but no love given . Barrington Lodge , you have it all , please love her (Barrington Lodge). She is beautiful and needs that extra attention and she will blossom even more . I would book there again despite the few aspects that may need addressing but the rooms we stayed in were lovely . There were other clients next to our room that came late 03:44hrs and were bickering , initially tried t open our door . This is no fault of the Lodge but each individual had got to be respectful of others really not put the honours on owner to baby sit adults.

Obviously newly refurbished very clean & comfortable room in a nice quiet residential area only a 20 minute walk into central Chester. Some very nice pubs & eateries nearby as well

Location was great and it had parking outside the property off the road. Great communication with the owner and they were very helpful. Hamper on arrival was a nice touch.

The renovation work was poor quality, the bedding was old and was not ironed which made it look tatty. The kitchen was dirty, especially the floor and fridge.

The hallway, stairs and reception area for rooms was very stuffy, smelly and drab in comparison to the quality of rooms and breakfast. First impressions count and this lets down what is otherwise a really great place to stay.

Poor value for money Exposed pipes meant every single time water flowed around the building it made terrible noise. One night it kept me awake until 02.00 in the morning. People at the bus stop outside using the entrance steps as seating to wait for the bus My breakfast on day 2 took almost 35 minutes to arrive at the table. Staff provided an additional pot of tea and remembered unprompted to apologise the following morning which was appreciated.
