The location of the property was very handy, Highbury and Islington station was about a 10 minute walk and Holloway station was about 5 minutes. It was perfect location wise for us and the area had good options for food. You do get exactly what you are paying for and what you see in the photos, our room was one on the basement level and so was slightly dark but always cool and clean enough. There also were cleaners during our stay maintaining the bathroom which was appreciated as they are shared. Jim was helpful with the self check in and we enjoyed the flexibility of coming later than we had originally anticipated.

The main issue was that the front door lock was slightly temperamental, difficult to open and difficult to close also it seemed. On both nights that I returned to the flat (quite late, 12/1am) the front door was open. I can gather that people arriving home but knowing others were still out were simply leaving the front door open because it was so difficult to get open in the first place. This situation felt largely unsafe. This could have been mediated by informing guests that the door opened a lot easier by pressing on a specific button until it clicked, which we were only told was the case by another group of guests who had already had trouble with the door.

This hotel is fantastic! I read many negative reviews and almost cancelled it, glad I didn’t! Room is very spacious, very comfortable beds with two pillows- softer and harder. We stayed in room number 20 with amazing view and modern bathroom. Breakfast was included and it was very good, cooked and continental. And I want to mention very polite and professional, always smiling staff. I would not hesitate to stay in Beach hotel again!

Yes. We had a wonderful stay and would like to say how lovely and clean our room (15l) was. Our room had a balcony overlooking the golf course. Great location, wonderful onsite restaurant. We will definitely be staying here again, and I would recommend this hotel for families and couples.

The TV is a little small for the size of the room, and the pillows are very lumpy. The beds could do with separate bedside lights as they are great, but connected to main ceiling lights

The location is very good. It is very close to transportation facilities. There are supermarkets and shopping malls in the surrounding area. The house is large and comfortable. Especially the reception was very kind and caring. They tried to fulfill our demands as much as they could.

Some of the home appliances were not in good condition or were broken. Kitchenware could be a little more. Consumables for stays of around a week are quite insufficient.

Great location overlooking Harlyn Bay and on the bus route for the Atlantic Coastal service into Newquay and Padstow which was handy but also very quiet. The property was small, compact and very quaint with a lovely garden. Had all amenities and beds were comfy.

The room was great size and location. We also got to check in earlier than expected. I also liked that I had a fridge in my room.

The main downside was that there was a leak into my wardrobe from the room above which stopped me from getting to sleep so had to report this. A man came very quickly but didn’t seem too surprised so maybe it’s happened before. The next day I had a shower and shut the door and used the shower screen as expected. When I got out there was water all over the bathroom floor as well as under the door and into my room. My bag was sitting just outside which got wet so wasn’t happy about that. The window was also almost unhinged when it came to open and shut it didn’t appear to close properly so I could hear all the noises outside which disrupted my sleep also.
