First-class Shopping, Culture and Sports
The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centers. Well-known for its M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it's also a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city center hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping center, and behind that is Digbeth Bus Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Center) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just across the street is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modeled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top soccer clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

There needs to be better signs from the car park to tell you where to go to find the entrance to Malmaison hotel. The Manager and staff need to walk themselves from the car park as there is lack of signage. But - once you get to the hotel, it is fantastic! You will want to come time and time again. The fact that everything was within 20 mins walking distance. The people were very helpful for example we were looking lost and a lady from the street stopped and offered us help. Went shopping In the bull ring great choice of shops enjoyed the experience at tocca social great interaction for the family or just a couple or friends. An amazing city that grows on you. When we first arrived it seemed very quiet and boring, but then into the second day there is alot going on! Plenty of things to do and the people are very polite and mindful their own business and friendly. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and people were very welcoming. Scam‼️‼️‼️ ‼️Pls do not book this place as they are Scammers… RUN RUN … My WORST experience ever, I booked late night of 14th August for a night and on transit next day I was told, I must deposit £250 as a policy before check in. I was in transit when I saw it this morning then I reached out that I don’t have that to transfer but my card details. They declined that I must pay it before checkin , I didn’t read the policy but asked they allow me on mercy. YET NO!! Then not to loose my money made calls and got £250, for me to transfer into the account my bank flagged that details not matching, I reached out for correct details . Guess, WHAT, I was told that I had till 11am to pay it and I’ve lost my booking. At about 3pm that I’ve not checked in. There line on voicemail.
