Everything was perfect except the barman couldn't make the first three cocktails that we ordered (mahito, long island iced tea or Taquil sunrise) which was very disappointing other than that the stay was perfect.

While Sydney is a beautiful city with great food and beautiful landmark , the cost of living can be quite high — especially the absurdly expensive taxi fares. Please avoid taxi at all means. (Ie 4 mins ride cost AUD30.)

We come from the west side of the blue mountains traveling to Sydney for short holidays as often as we can as we love the city and all the adventures that go with it . the light rail makes access to all parts of the CBD easy. Both pubs and underground bars are a great adventure with all sorts of food around the city or just wondering around looking at all the old building , it is all fantastic.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this property.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this property. There was no WiFi at all, despite it being advertised as included. The entire apartment and hallways were extremely dirty and smelled strongly of mould and mildew. There was visible mould on the ceiling and throughout the bathroom. The floors hadn’t been swept, the cupboard under the sink was filthy, and there was old food left in the dishwasher, which made us question the cleanliness of all cups and glasses—so we didn’t use them. The bedding and sheets were questionable in terms of cleanliness. There was no remote for the air conditioner, leaving the apartment uncomfortably cold. The TV didn’t have a signal, and its remote didn’t work either. Overall, the property was unhygienic, uncomfortable, and not as described. I would not recommend this accommodation and would strongly advise against booking it.

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Sydney with great eating places and lots to do. Went for a long walk through botanical gardens where the views of the harbour are spectacular. For a bit of excitement went on the metro to and from Chatswood Wow so fast and amazing stations en route.

The location is great for access to Rail, Metro and Light Rail... anywhere in Sydney CBD is easy to reach. China Town, Darling Harbour and CBD is an easy 5-10min walk. Hotel is modern with a great cafe for good coffee/meals and a Rooftop Bar. Breakfast options are great and tasty. Rooms are well appointed, and the mattress is comfortable and good quality. Staff were very friendly. Loved the options of prepay late-checkout. Rooms have well stocked minibars. A lovely hotel for our weekend in the City.

Thanks to Alex and John for being nice to us. The place is value for money. It is a good location. 2 train stations away to the CBD. What I like is the character of this hotel with its old stuff. The lift is the old lift with railing and wooden door. It is working properly. Our room had a working induction cooker, complete cooking utensils. You can always ask the reception if you need something. The reception is working like an office hours. So better ask them within these hours if you need something.

Great location - easy walking to the Harbour and the city shopping district and close to Art gallery Botanic Gardens State library. Very old world comfortable charm - has all the amenities we need - much more personable atmosphere compared other hotels where you feel like you're just a number. Large rooms, lovely marble bathrooms, very comfy beds

Everything was perfect, the room, the location (100 metres from the new metro station), the staff, the COFFEE, the quietness of the room. We'll definitely be back. Used to use CBD hotels, not anymore. Rydges is only 8 minutes from the centre of Sydney CBD by metro.
