Bakewell was beautiful. A beautiful little village with lots to see and do. Whether it be browsing the good variety of shops or strolling along the river or enjoying time in the recreational park. Staying in the centre of Bakewell meant we could leave the car and enjoy the many pubs and restaurants in the town. Also plenty of shops to look around. We were given a corner room on top floor with windows facing in two directions offering good views of Bakewell. Nice little touches like the radio playing classical music on entering the room and little chocolate bars and local books. The outside bar area was very good and an excellent sun trap. It has only 2 rooms at present, but the new owners are hoping to increase this shortly. In spite of being on a busy road it was extremely quiet and we were not aware of any traffic. It is well located and within easy walking distance of the town centre and the river.
