Getting to the property is difficult. Especially for people using a wheelchair. It’s very bumpy and very small and very difficult to get into the hotel. The staff was amazingly excellent at making sure I had what I needed. Adrion was excellent!!! You should do everything you can to keep her as an employee, give her a raise, give her some additional time off. Companies are only as good as their employees and you’ve got a diamond.

I loved the vibes of the hotel, it’s super cool and dark. I loved the energy of the place and the older design. The room was the perfect size for two people, the bed was so comfortable as well. I also appreciated the fitness room, it was nice to get a little work out in. I plan to stay here whenever we come back to the city!

This hotel really needs an update. The carpets in the halls are old and a trip hazard and full of stains. The woodwork is old. the furniture is old. When you walk in the lobby you think okay.....This is pretty okay. But the reception is hidden in the back on the left. Leaving visitors looking for it. And the rest of the hotel really is a big let down. The elevators have a paper sign saying no more than 4 persons in the elevator. Nobody reads it. Because it is not very clear. But there must be a reason for this information?? Probable because also the elevators are old. No minibar in the room, no roomservice. I thought that was still standard for a 4 star hotel. But not here. Location is very good. Bed was good. The room was okay clean but not super clear. the rim in the washbasin was very dirty and the room smelt odd. The curtains could not be opened on one site because they were broken. The view from my room was good. Overall a high price for an old and almost rundown hotel. The owners need to renovate, but that is just my opinion. I would not book again.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

Chicago is one of my favourite cities - I have been visiting on business for 40+ years. Great food, great people, safe downtown. Many new and beautiful buildings - and the Trump Tower. The Riverwalk is a delight in summer.

We visited many museums in Chicago and all were very high in quality and value, with the exception of the Ice Cream Museum, which was not a great value in our opinion. We really enjoyed the diversity of the architecture and were glad to have taken the sightseeing Chicago River tour to experience that.

Chicago definetly has alot going on. We had fun walking around seeing different stores and restaurants. There was always something we could do. Come prepared to spend some money. It was a nice time every day !!! Now the traffic and drivers WOWWW 😀 !! Definetly stay woke, we took Ubers here and there (not use to the speed or congestion). I would definitely visit again.

    Crazy jam packed 4 days.

Crazy jam packed 4 days. Bought the City Pass and it went perfectly. We hit the Chicago Skydeck (go early) so much fun. Breakfast at Goddess and the — awesome food great atmosphere. Then the Cubs game (Cubs win!) then dinner at Demera Ethiopian. Nearby. Took the El. Next day Field Museum - so much to see - Chicago Shoreline boat tour - learned a lot then dinner at Fogo de Chao. Walked the river walk which was amazing. Gelato at Sweet Home Gelato! So fun and so much going on. Then Mass at the Cathedral and shipping at Baggu (spent way too much) and right next door the coolest restaurant Bartaco. Food amazing and we bought their homemade sauce. Then on to Art Museum and dinner at Girl and the Goat. And gelato after. And finally last day Shedd aquarium and Giordanos pizza!!! We walked or took the El where we could. It was also Lollapalooza. So super crowded a couple times and by it but didn’t affect us.

Best hostel in Chicago ! Very cheap dormitory rooms, I was very lucky because during all my stay there was only one person with me in the room (and it was a 10 beds room). You’ll have all the accommodations you’ll need, the neighborhood is GREAT, especially to walk into. Very close to the center of the city (20 min with the red line), the subway station is 10 min away. Lots of common space that were very spacious, the dorm and bathroom were very clean, and the breakfast, very simple but a real plus.

It was an amazing hotel. We booked it for 2 nights. Location is good, right on the magnificent miles. You can walk to almost all tourist places in downtown. Got several food options nearby. Staff was helpful . Rooms were spacious and clean. 360 observatory, oak st beach, ohio st beach, navy pier, the cloud gate, crown fountain were close. The boatrides and cruise rides could be taken easily too from chicago riverwalk. Loved the ambience. Overall a great stay.

Best location in downtown Chicago! Easy to get to from O'Hare and only steps away from the riverwalk with all it's attractions. The room was spacious and the view worth paying that little bit more for. The fitness centre was also spacious and well appointed, enabling me to stave off some of those extra pounds gained from all the great Chicago dining opportunities :-)
