We stayed here for two nights, and really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The room was very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and even had a small fridge. Complementary bottled water was left for us each day. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although we didn't use the hotel's facilities, the spa looked very well equipped.

Location was good for shops, walking the dog in the parks and catching buses. Parking was okay after the first night and we were able to leave the car nearby and use the buses. Room was nice and quiet on the top floor despite the pub being right on a fairly busy road. Friendly welcome and they looked after us well.

Cheltenham oozes with wealth, and GCHQ isn't the source of all of it. Past glories and prudent decisions by its council have ensured it has a wealth of old buildings and quaint streets. There is also a central shopping area which lacks for nothing, while spacious and peaceful parks dot the landscape. A well-used footpath (a former railway line) conveniently runs through the town and provides for morning runs, walks, and easy access to Cheltenham's town centre. Cheltenham Races are well known and need no advertising, but I'd like to put in a word for the Gloucester & Warwickshire Preserved Railway. Over 900 volunteers manage this line which takes visitors from Cheltenham (Racecourse) up to the picturesque towns of Winchcombe and Broadway, making it well worth discovering, even if it isn't particularly well connected with the town centre.

From a central location, everything is within reach on foot.

From a central location, everything is within reach on foot. We spent time in Pittville (a delightfully shady park for a hot day), Montpelier, Holst's house and the Wilson. We did the sculpture trail - with a map that is impressionistic rather than realistic, but it was fun. We took a bur to Tewksbury and had a lovely day there, with a river cruise. Buses to the station go from the nearby High Street regularly.

I really enjoyed going to the Lido as the weather was so hot whilst we were there! I also enjoyed the very interesting museum and art gallery, which focused on local history with many interesting exhibits e.g. a sedan chair...there was also a very interesting exhibition called "Into the Wild". And a video/exhibition about a female Morris Dancing Troupe. There are many nice cafes and restuarants to get coffees, refreshments and evening meals. We also visited several charity shops and found some good bargains. We didn't catch a single bus whilst we were there - in fact there didn't seem to be many of them and we never found a bus station. As neither of us drive or have a car, this was a bit of a drawback. We had to walk a lot and some of the taxi's we caught e.g. to the train station seemed rather expensive. On my last day in Cheltenham I walked to the famous Pump Rooms, through Pittville Park. This was definitely worth the effort (on another hot day). There's a lovely long lake in the Park where I saw a heron amongst other wildlife. It was nice to get somewhere well away from the incessant traffic and probable air pollution...

had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was incredibly spacious, with beautiful design details and a very comfortable, super-large bed. Everything was spotless, including the bathroom, which featured lovely elements that really added to the overall experience. The location was perfect, within walking distance of both the city center and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, which made it incredibly convenient. Overall, everything about this stay exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it.
