City centre location Free parking Large room Large shower room
excellent location very friendly and helpful staff i cannot fault it for the money.
Everything about this hotel was excellent, staff, comfort, cleanliness, location. Se had a great break!
Room 104 was fine. Nice long bathtub. WiFi was very good.
Rm 107 has very uneven floors. No angles are square beginning at the door. Made us queasy. Had to change rooms as soon as possible. .
The hotel was a good location for what I had planned that evening & business the next day.The actual room was off a decent basic standard & was clean.
The fact I had water above my bed coming through the ceiling, splashing on my face at 2.30 in the morning.I moved over to the other side off bed, stopped dripping after 30 min mattress at that side wet & towel to soak it up.I didn't think that moving room was the solution as already had disturbed night sleep,a no win situation!!not a pleasant experience.hotel management solution was moving rm sent to me in a e-mail 10 days later, with not a apology.just that I wouldn't be getting a refund no surprise!wont be recommending this hotel to any off my business associates or friends,I work in a highly thought off customer service company.your management at your hotel is sadly lacking in that skill.
Great location stayed in family room for four and had plenty of room breakfast in morning was good especially the pastries. Limited parking though we were able to get a space.
Noise can be heard from hallways we were near reception and the toilets but the noise has not put us off staying again.
Clean, comfortable hotel. Excellent facilities. Good choice at breakfast. Near to city centre.
Our Room was opposite the local casino,so noisy at night. Our room was situated under the dining room, noisy from 07.00 when setting up for breakfast and at night footsteps could be heard
Excellent location in the heart of Edinburgh. Laura the receptionist was very helpful. Toilet was immaculate.
Can't think of anything.
The hotel was clean and in a good location.
The room was not what we would call an executive double. It was in the roof with drafty roof window above the bed. It was on a split level with a very narrow stair case to sleep area. Breakfast was in a different building along the street and restaurant was in a sister hotel the albany which was in the next street down. When we booked online it was the albany we looked at and booked through but we were actually booked into the sister hotel.
room was a good size and warm. good continental breakfast
wifi very poor. 24 hour bar - but wine not kept cool in fridge and unable to tell us cost.
We loved the room,it was a great size and nice bathroom too.
My only criticism was having no cooked breakfast :( We do enjoy a cooked Scottish breakfast.
Generally perfect for what we needed re location and made us very welcome x
There was nothing that we didn't like
Location, lovely building, very clean, good size room.
Breakfast very basic and could be improved.
The hotel was very well situated and close to everything, shops, train station etc. The room had ample room for the 3 of us
bathroom was amazing - spacious, clean, light. bed was extremely comfortable and all up the room was beyond pleasant
no room service, and no hotel bar
Huge Plasma TV on wall and very comfortable, spacious room. A bath and shower was good too.
Lock on door didn't seem very secure, and door was squint !
Close to main bus station shopping centres and railway station
a bit small, no bath & no real facilities and the continental option for breakfast
It'd comfortable, had a great view of the north of Edinburgh. old style hotel but the room was modern and clean.
The bar is my only complaint. There was something there but the very bare minimum with no beer taps. but Edinburgh is full of nice places to eat and pubs so I didn't mind too much.
Friendly staff. Free parking. Spacious room with excellent view.
Newly renovated rooms did not as yet have enough electric lighting. Almost impossible to see well enough to read in the room.
Everything about the hotel, especially its location and the superb room. Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
Fantastic size room, excellent location.
Shaky wardrobe that made a racket when anyone above us walked across the floor! Bit annoting during the night.
I was upgraded to a first rate suite and the welcoming receptionist was friendly and informative. I would definately use this Hotel again and recommend it to others.
The breakfast wasn't bad but it was a little lacking in choice for non meat eaters. A cold fish selection, variety of cheeses or spreads would be a welcome addition .
The location was great. Very close to city centre, but not noisy. The continental breakfast was excellent. So much choice and value for money!
