What Guests Said About Liverpool:

  • 10.0

Central Liverpool is brimming with character and culture—...

Central Liverpool is brimming with character and culture—from its architectural landmarks like Royal Albert Dock, St. George’s Hall, and the Royal Liver Building, to its compact layout that makes everything within easy walking distance. The city pulses with energy: plenty of museums, galleries, theaters, music venues, and nightlife options that cater to all tastes. Especially fans of The Beatles and vibrant nightlife. Areas like the Baltic Triangle and Bold Street offer creative, bohemian atmospheres with street art, indie bars, eclectic shops, and food spots that feel alive and authentic. Because the city centre is so lively and compact, it can feel overwhelmingly busy at times. Weekends and event nights bring significant crowds, which might wear on quieter travellers. Accommodation can get pricey or booked out quickly, especially during Premier League matches or concerts at the M&S Bank Arena, so planning ahead is key. Additionally, while recent regeneration has been impressive, some public spaces and older buildings would benefit from ongoing maintenance to restore their full former glory.

Apart from The Beatles who still dominate the Liverpool experience nowadays, there is plenty of interest in this unique city. The way the waterfront has been changed from dereliction to a vibrant modern urban centre; the remarkable architecture of the compact central area with two great cathedrals, art galleries and a range of historical quarters.

I grew up in Liverpool, and this is the first time I've been...

I grew up in Liverpool, and this is the first time I've been there as a visitor. Wow, it's fabulous. Buzzing with life, so many things to do and see. Guided bus tours saved hours of walking, with a lively commentary on the history as you pass the sights. So many places to eat, all were excellent, something for everyone. The Albert Dock area was the best, and the ferry tour was great fun. We ate on board the Daffodil, a restored ferry boat moored at the Pierhead, I can recommend the scouse, it was delicious! Every kind of street food available for eating on the go. We packed so much into our short stay, and can't wait to go back. Younger visitors would enjoy the city centre bars, shopping, and night life, but we band of happy oldies were content with the waterside, lovely walks, fabulous food and friendly people we met. Something for just about everyone from babes to seniors. Go there! You'll be amazed.

Great city with excellent historical architecture and plenty to do and see. There are many museums and a good nightlife. A visit to the Beatles museum, the Liver building and the British music and Liverpool museums and Cathedral are a must. If you have time a visit to Anfield stadium is recommended.

I could nt get over how clean it was to other cities I have travelled too. The people not only in the hotel, but local cafes, pubs and shops are very polite and helpful. My favourite place is the scarf shop and the Daffodil boat on the front. We found that walking around soaking the culture, we visited the Prison that has been turned into a pub. I highly recommend Peaberry's cafe, for breakfast and such a large pot of tea. Would I visit again of course I would without a doubt

We did a hop on hop off bus tour which gave us a good idea of what was where. We climbed the tower of the Anglican Cathedral and even on a cloudy day we could see for miles. We all enjoyed the Quirky Quarter, 142 Duke Street. Great meal at Man Tseuen Ho’s Restaurant in Chinatown. ☺️

Fantastic location for first time Liverpool tourists. All major tours steps away. Lots of attractions at the Docks. Great selection of restaurants next door. It's England/ liverpool...could have used a pub near by, but otherwise great. Hotel breakfast was good, nice inclusion. Rooms could use an update. Mattresses weren't great, but rooms were big and always clean. Great views.

Hotel is in an excellent location..I was over for a Liverpool game...hotel in nice as you walk into the main hall but rooms really show their age. It was clean but very old.. perfect for someone just needing a bed for the night in city centre that doesn't want to go to a hostel or a cheap air BnB.. would highly recommend.. breakfast was accepted

When I visit Liverpool, I always stay at the Pullman Hotel? It's a very modern contemporary place to spend your time, the rooms are spacious, and i always love the walk-in shower? Is it walking distance to the Docks and city centre? breakfast is freshly served in a relaxed atmosphere, and it's always a positive, joyful, happy stay 😊
