Leonardo Hotel Brighton, hotel in Brighton & Hove

Next to Brighton Railway Station, in the city center, Leonardo Hotel Brighton is a 15-minute walk from the beach. It features a 24-hour reception, bar and restaurant.

The bed was indeed a DREAM, I never wanted to leave the bed. The options of teas were great, especially having a peppermint tea at night. The view was amazing, there was so much to see. The bedroom was spacious and cosy. I really miss it already and the staff gave me privacy which I admire the most. The location is ideal as it’s near the station, also the beach and Royal Pavilion so it was convenient.

Selina Brighton, hotel in Brighton & Hove

In Brighton’s vibrant city center, The Selina Brighton is located on the promenade. With stunning sea views and surrounded by clubs and restaurants, the hotel also offers free WiFi.

Shared room for 4 was still quite cosy, one room with two twin beds, another annex with two bunk beds, gave some privacy to both parts. Shared bathroom was very clean with free shampoo/conditioner and hand soap. Towels provided. Location is amazing!!! Steps from the beach, 30 min walk from train station. Great position between Brighton and Hove, some affordable restaurants around the corner on Western Rd. Great service on the desk. Fine to leave your luggage before checking in/after check out. The other guests are mainly 30-40s, professional type, many there for co-working. Not a party hostel, for the better. Bunk beds were large enough for me (6'6")

FAQs about hotels in Brighton & Hove

Colorful by Day and Night

Known for colorful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and nearby Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racetrack, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guesthouses on Booking.com are also nearby.

Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric train, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.

A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.

Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping center and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. Arts + culture are big in Brighton, and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.

    Brighton is a mini London.

Brighton is a mini London. You can find all things there, but within walking distance. I felt safe, however on Friday night I smelled weed throughout the main street and pretty packed. Brighton is built on hills, so expect to use your legs, it reminded me of walking in San Francisco. Weather was pretty cold in April, raining, very windy, but overall, I liked It a lot!

Brighton has a lot to offer especially when the weather is good, but I would advise first-time visitors to plan for a Sunday/Monday or mid-week. It can get very busy on even those days. Pretty much everything is within walking distance. Hove has a less of a party vibe and I frankly prefer it - alas my friends live close to the slightly seedier of town (albeit in nice places). Still some good bookshops left...even the Waterstones has an indie vibe. Bands seem to pass through. Missed Goldfrapp last visit in early March when attending a birthday celebration. Also two good arthouses, Lanes for shopping, etc.

Nicely sized for a long weekend, we visited museums, shopped, ate a lot of excellent food. If I can, another year I'll try to be there for their arts festival in May, we just missed it but the posters (going up while we were there) all looked amazing

Brighton is a lovely town, from my experience people have been welcoming and kind. The beryl bikes system makes it easy to move around the city. They have a big queer community, which is, I believe, very nice and enjoyable and makes the experience super safe for any queer folks. Although, be aware that it smells like grass quite often. The pavilion and the museum are great. Fish and chips are cheap and good, which is nice. Be careful around the beach tho, the seagulls and pigeons are quite ravenous and brazen, they'll snatch your food right out of your hands if you're not careful. Lots of little art galleries along the beach, which is quite lovely.

We have been to Brighton lots of times before. We revisited the Pavilion which was excellent. We had fish and chips on the pier also good. It was the school holidays so the shopping area was very busy. As we are pensioners we made full use of our bus passes on the excellent bus service travelling several times between hove, Brighton and Worthing. We out out at an excellent Persian restaurant called Shiraz in Hove.

The location is very central, walkable to most attractions especially the beach is within 1-min walk, and it’s a plus! Nice interior design and TV comes with Netflix, Disney+ account that we can enjoy for free! Check-in is smooth and available anytime as it’s a self check-in flat, the host is very friendly and helpful, gave useful informations about where to look for best parking and restaurants. The flat has everything we need and we will definitely want to stay here again next time we are in the city!

Treated my friend to one night away as a Thank You and the Mecure was a great location opposite the beach but not totally in the thick of Brighton proper. On one of the hottest days, the air on was very welcome. Best thing about this hotel has to be the staff, they were outstanding! From all different backgrounds and nationalities, there was a sense of team, community and warmth from all of our interactions. You really couldn’t fault the service. Room/beds were comfortable. Parking was so close to the hotel and really cheap for 24 hour slots. Trainee we had who welcomed us was lovely, really helpful and accommodating. No name on badge just trainee so can't name her, but she had curly red/ginger hair just below chin length. Very quiet room, considering we were beach front and in a very busy hotel and location. Bed was very firm and we slept like babies. Location was fantastic too, beachfront with many restaurants and bars near by. Would recommend a stay here.

It is a lovely hotel. The staff are first rate. it just doesn’t have the amenities that other “luxury” hotels have - and that could be an American perspective- but being a beach hotel…I think beach towels (at least) should be available. I don’t think many people want to buy beach towels for a few days. The room a/c was great - but the rest of the hotel, besides Cyan, was Luke warm! Fans could be strategically placed? The staff was very friendly and welcoming…professional, etc.

Super friendly owners, lovely personal touches in the room, absolutely spotless, with crisp white linen on a plush comfy bed, you can see Red Brighton Blue genuinely cares. Along with a great location just a hop skip and jump to the beach, this has to be the best place i have stayed this year (ive spent most of 2022 in hotels). Keep it up 😀
