There is so much to do/see in Lisbon.
There is so much to do/see in Lisbon. However, I would stay outside of the central area next time and use Bolt. We had a car and it was definitely not needed, plus we had to pay for parking.
Maybe stay in central Lisbon for 2-3 days. We were in Lisbon for 11 days.

The transport pass is a good idea even though it seems expensive. It simplifies things. Lisbon is a large city with many areas to visit, many quite lovely, the people are very nice, and there are oodles of cafes and restaurants although, I think it is becoming harder to find a good Portuguese restaurant. Riding the tram was fun but pick your time as the locals use it to get to work and return home. Easy transport to Cascais and to Sintra. In Sintra get the hop on hop off deal at the train station. Worth it. Loved the Quinta da Regaleira a 12 minutes walk from the centre.

The first impression was the people, all of them are really nice and welcoming. Furthermore, we took a personalized tour that took us to the Belem Tower, then to the new town, and finally to the old town. Very nice views, and great history. I liked the most the market at the Rossio Square. I didn't like that it was difficult to find options besides sea food.

My recommendations -
- Sintra and Pena day trip 10/10
- Go through to Belem - Taxi was 10 Euro from Rua Augusta
- Sunset Cruise - book on the day of travel - too exposed if raining.
- Lapita Pizzeria is amazing one of the best we've tried ever.
- Roof-top bar visit is a must (there are plenty)
- Bonjardim Piri Piri is excellent - expect to queue but they are quick.
- Fada show - interesting from musical, cultural and social history.
- Best Pastel de Nata (cakes) in Lisbon we tried was Manteigaria –
rated as the probably best in Lisbon., one is on Rua Augusta.
- Get Uber or Bolt App on your phone - very cheap for Taxis.
Our flight was cancelled and we had to book a hotel in Lisbon overnight- couldn’t have stayed in a better place! The staff were so lovely and warm, the bed was extremely comfortable for our aching bodies, and we were chuffed with the slippers and bathrobes! After an exhausting day sorting out new flights and accommodation, we got the best night’s sleep ever thanks to the lovely bed! The location is fab, very central and we were able to potter around Lisbon to see the sights while waiting to go to the airport. Would definitely recommend.
The location was probably the best part of this hotel. The Rossio Plaza Hotel is adjacent to the main plaza, which was also very crowded ( the most crowded area in Lisbon), but there was no shortage of restaurants, and it was close to some attractions such as the cathedral. The staff was generally accommodating and helped us with our luggage on the way in and out. I enjoyed the view of Rossio Plaza from our room window. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel because they did not open until 8 am, and we had to get an earlier start.
Browns boutique hotel had everything and more, the location was perfect for exploring Lisbon and all the entertainment around the local area, The room had all the facilities you would need including fridge, coffee and tea making and a complimentary bottle of wine. The staff were excellent and accommodating of any request made. The breakfast was easily the best we have had over the last 5 hotels that we stayed in during our 3 week trip. We would highly recommend the hotel and will look to book again when visiting Lisbon again
Fantastic location - although I was in Lisbon for work, I still had tourist inclinations. The hotel could not be better placed for access to everything in the area a tourist would demand. I paid a little extra for an upgrade and it was worth every penny. The very quiet room had an “office” area and a fantastic shower in the bathroom. There wasn’t much to see through the windows, but I was there to walk around.
One of the best breakfasts ever. More a boutique hotel with some facilities, but a wonderful stay.
Room are big, very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. It's very easy to reach and close to many restaurants and small supermarkets. It's in a quiet area and very good for price. The receptionist by far is the best and most helpful one I ever dealt with. My reservation was bed and breakfast but breakfast is Continental for everyone. I may make this hotel my first choice if I visited Lisbon again. I arrived at evening so I couldn't talk about the view but the morning view is amazing
Great location, away from the noise and tight alleys. The hotel is situated at the train station (no noise) which is quite convenient if you’re looking to access the metro or do any day trips from lisbon. Convenience store right inside the train station.
Super clean and nicely furnished rooms with fresh towels and toiletries, looks newly renovated. Most importantly for us Arabs, there’s a hose (bidet/ شطاف) :)
I wouldn’t go as far and call it 5 star but it is a good value one.
The host was so friendly, he explained us what to see and how to get to places, we got a free map and a free present when we left! The room was super clean and was cleaned daily, so did the bathrooms they were cleaner than 5 star hotels. The location was also perfect we were 10 minutes away from the center and the metro station was 2minutes away. Also nice breakfast places in the area. I woul definitely return here when i come back to lisbon 🌞
Nice spacious rooms. Bit outside of the city centre, but with the metro very close this is a perfect location for a Lisbon city trip. Comfortable beds.
No sound from outside. Which surprised me, as it's a busy street and aircraft fly really low over the hotel.
Easy reachable from the airport. I used the metro, which in hindsight was not even the best solution. Metro takes about 40 minutes, where the bus would take only 15.
- Hotel EXE Liberdade is in Lisbon's lively center, offering modern comfort and easy access.
- The stay was satisfying, best generally comfy, plus for central heating.
- The hotel's central location is perfect for discovering Lisbon's cultural and historical richness.
- Rooms are modern, well-furnished, and equipped with all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
- Quiet rooms, kind staff.
Absolutely best hostel ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time in hostel, in Lisbon and in Portugal.
They have dinner Events, pub crawl, fado, etc. They also gave us a guide for beaches on the West Coast. They als kept some of my stuff and I picked them up 2 weeks later when I returned to Lisbon, this was a huge help.
everything about this property is first glass, from the moment we arrived the smell when you open the air conditioned entry, the welcoming staff with a glass of Portuguese wine & tarts,it’s such a modern hotel the air conditioned room was spotless & the view of the street & river unreal.we definitely recommend it.Rossio Plaza Lisbon you should be very proud of your staff👏👏👏5 star.
Location on Av de Liberdade was the best thing about the hotel. Some rooms had a nice view over the Avenida.
Breakfast buffet was decent, though food was inconsistently labeled, some tables had jams while others didn’t. This would have been fine had this been a budget 3 star hotel, but was a disappointment when I thought I had booked a 5 star one.
Amazing from start to finish! The staff were so friendly, so helpful and it was like a 5 star experience. Everything from the room, to the pool to the hotel restaurant was fantastic. We ate three times in the restaurant during our three night stay because the carbonara was the best we had tasted.
We most appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We chose the hotel based on its proximity to the airport and we appreciated the secure parking in the parking garage. The food and service in their restaurant were among the BEST that we experienced in Portugal.
Excellent location. Staff was exceptional and so helpful. Best hotel I’ve stayed in Portugal. Beds were comfortable and small details like cold water in the fridge made the stay comfortable. Daily cleaning which is not the norm anymore - very appreciative of this luxury
5 star service throughout and you’re treat like a VIP. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and can not fault the service of every single member we encountered. Hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing selection for breakfast.
Everything. The property is a genuine 5 star hotel. The whole check in to check out experience had nothg to conplain about. Best option for family in lisbon. the location is amazing facing the river.
One of the best hotels that I have been to, and I can say that the 5 stars it has are well deserver. Great location, friendly staff and cleanliness on-point were all as good as you can expect.
Clean basic hotel nothing outstanding good or bad. Location very convenient for transport links to airport and Lisbon city centre. Hotel staff were helpful especially the security officers.
This hotel is in the perfect location to get to all the best sites in Lisbon. Close to the main attractions, bus and restaurants. Great restaurant in the lobby and very quiet.
