The 1st day we had best pain au chocolat and custard tart pastries of the trip. They were still warm from the oven. 2nd day the pastries changed a little, but were still very good. Breakfast runs from 6am to 1030am which is great since you have to leave early for morning flights.

Pretty fancy hotel. Room was comfortable, although a little small. Bed was comfortable and there was a welcome drink and desert - it was a very nice touch. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. A lot of facilities in the hotel and a great restaurant. Very close to the big bus tour/hopon hopoff.

For a 2 star hotel, it was very clean, our sheets, towels and pillows got changed daily. Staff was very friendly. Miguel in particular guided us with where we needed to go. We were allowed to keep our luggage in their storage after checking out as our flight was later on in the evening. All in all an exceptional stay for a 2 star hotel. The metro statiom was at a 8 minutes walk and it only took us 12 minutes to get to the city centre.

Room, Staff, Bar/Food, Bartender...awesome! Joao...awesome! Room was clean and comfortable...we only stayed 2 nights so the size was just fine! For a longer stay, it would be nice to have more room...but the location of the hotel is perfect for shopping, eating and see all Lisbon has to offer! Thank you!

Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.
Lots to do in Lisbon and surrounding area. We went for seven days but five would have been enough. Don't leave out a visit to Sintra, get there early as it was quite busy and we visited in October. Buy a travel ticket at the Metro Station, it's 0.50c and then you can top it up as you go. Works on train, metro, trains, buses and ferries.

tourist tax is awful - we are penalised for staying in a hotel and spending money in local restaurants and shops. What is that about? 8 euros a day for a couple.
public transport awful - lack of information - access to metro by many steep steps only - how do elderly or disabled get to use the metro. If there was occasionally a lift or an escalator - it was "temporarily" out of action. For the whole week we were there. And it was exactly the same when we were in Lisbon last year. Oh dear me.
And the homelessness, the begging, the number of noisy intimidating rough sleepers. Did not feel safe at times. Dreadful that so many people are not being helped and supported.
Go to PORTO a much more beautiful and welcoming city. Lisbon could learn a lot.

The first evening we explored Baixa on foot and had an amazingly good dinner at Taberna de Baixa.
We spent the first part of the second day in a tuk-tuk to get an overview of Lisbon, and spent the rest of the day exploring Alfama and all it had to offer.
The third day was spent on the left side - Belem, Chiado and Bairro Alto.

Easy to get around on public transport in general.
Easy to get around on public transport in general. Plentiful food on offer including local fare. Visits to Sintra/Nazare and Cascais from Lisbon highly recommended if time permits. Avoid overpriced tourist traps like Timeout food complex and go for local or the many food courts scattered along the city, with some in open-air . Be prepared to walk kilometres if you want to explore the city, even if public transport gets you from one part of the city to the other in no time. A city built on seven hills means that you have to go up hills all the time to reach most places. Excellent city that is tourist friendly. English very widely spoken.

The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the Saldanha metro station which can take you straight to the airport and all of the main areas of Lisbon city centre. Food shops and pharmacy also nearby.
The hotel staff were lovely and upgraded our room for free. The hotel also felt very safe even when we were returning late at night after a day out.
Hotel facilities were clean and the reception area is really nice. Our room also had a great TV.
The hotel was 5 stars all the way . You could not get a better location as we could walk everywhere . We were so impressed with Lisbon and having picked this hotel made our stay .
During the short stay we even managed to sit around the pool and sun bath . The pool and the courtyard for drinks we’re so lovely and relaxing .
Service and staff were 10/10 for me so highly recommend. May be a bit dearer then others locally but worth every penny
Reception personnel were quick for check-in and check-out. Extremally helpful people, we lost our luggage at Lisbon Airport and my husband asked them to follow up the procedure and they did it in a very professional way until we received our luggage. Room was big and the bathroom shower one of the best, no water clogged and no water on the bathroom floor which I face in most hotels!
It is the perfect stay - book already! Love this hotel and can’t wait to be back. The amazing rooms, design, history, breakfast. Not to mention the best location in town! Any marking down on booking.com is from people used to staying in 5 star chain hotels with a massive staff. ThIs is a boutique hotel. Having traveling the world in depth, this is always the better experience 😉
The man at reception was fantastic. He was incredibly helpful and professional. One step ahead of us, as guests. Fantastic gym. One of the best hotel gyms, especially for the small number of guests. The breakfast was also outstanding. Definitely a 5 star hotel.
