This was the PERFECT location for our family and all the things we wanted to do in Midtown. We were able to walk from Penn Station to our hotel, then from our hotel to the Red steps in Times Square, St.Patrick's Cathedral, Bryant Park, The Portal, NY Public Library, Village Pizza and Kwick Meal the famous falafel cart, and multiple card and gaming shops for my teenage sons. Small details I liked were House music in the elevator, the retro phone and the orange lamp. Staff was friendly. $30 credit at the coffee shop was a nice surprise.

Location is great! Near everything but get far enough from Times Square so as not to have the crowds there. Several subway stations within a few blocks. My room was adequate; though you could tell it’s seen better years everything work correctly.

I love the energy of the city! It is important to be close to Times Square to access theatre and the arts. We loved the food at Angelina's on Broadway. I also have a special fondness for Sarabeth's Kitchen. Our walk through Central Park was wonderful as the weather was perfect!

A must see city in the US, always busy no matter where you go so plan out a basic schedule of places to see and be sure to use google maps, even if you get lost just hook up to any Starbucks, McDonald’s or any fast food places WiFi to get you back on track. Encourage anyone to make use of the subway so easy to understand, tap on pay plus pretty cheap and run all hours. If you plan on going to museums then try to limit bags because it’s a bit like going through the airport and they will wand you, don't be rude they just take security seriously. Most of all be prepared to walk absolutely miles to maximise your trip, you might get the odd character on the subway but just keep to yourself and enjoy your trip

The distances are so vast, that even if we began using the subway our first day, we walked 20-26 thousand steps every day for 10 days. Tap your regular credit card on every bus and subway without first making any "deal", and you still don't pay more than any other rebate! Maks 34 dollars a week.

The variety of activities available in this amazing city is beyond impressive. get on a walking tour, book everything before travel, its mighty busy. Watch out for belongings, we had a carry on stolen from Bagel Pub on 7th, who only have security cameras switched on from 11am. use the same credit card for the whole family on the subway, it stops charging at $33. The subway is reliable cheap and quick compared to walking or cabs. Surprisingly NYC is a really cycle friendly city- rent a citibike and cruise around early before rush hour [which is 7am for the rest of the day]- they have e-bikes also. Chelsea Market is great for ad hoc stand up lunch

New York is a great city to visit any time of year with its awesome history and famous landmarks being almost on your door step. This was my second visit here my last visit we stayed with an American family across the river in New Jersey which was a good experience for us plus it was during Halloween too. However our location for our recent visit was on 36th street which is within walking distance to most things. So for the extra that you pay for where your located its worth it in the long run.

We stayed for 8 nights and overall really liked it. We have been to New York a couple of times and while the location is not the nicest (not dangerous, just touristy) it is the best for getting around Manhattan and beyond. We liked being able to walk to Hells Kitchen for food/drinks and plenty of other areas nearby and when we went further there were several subway options. We thought the bed and pillows were super comfortable and we never had to wait for a lift which is definitely a bonus when we looked at other hotels.

The location was perfect. Right opposite Byrant Park which has a wonderful Christmas market at this time of the year. I went to New York to run the New York City Marathon the bus taking me to start of the marathon was right outside the hotel. It couldn’t be more perfect. The bed was so comfortable it was unbelievable. The staff were professional and courteous. There’s a wonderful lounge and outdoor terrace on the sixth floor. All in all my stay in the hotel in the center of New York, was like a dream. It was magical.

The hotel's boutique style exudes charm, with every detail meticulously curated to offer a unique and delightful experience. The staff deserves special mention for their warm and welcoming hospitality that truly made me feel at home. The hotel's great location on 48th Street, near Times Square, Broadway theaters is an added bonus. Hotel staff reacted and responded well to initial problems: luggage not brought up to our room after repeated attempts to get them to do so and initial room too small for us. We were offered different, more spacious corner room with great Times Square views, but even then, had to move luggage ourselves, even though we were told it would be taken care off. Partial refund offered, which was appreciated. Location unbeateable for Times Square area and transportation options to rest of Manhattan and beyond.

Location is perfect for everything NYC & Manhattan had to offer. Most major attractions are within easy walking distance. The Subway network is great for anything further afield & with contactless payment meant no time trying to work out what ticket you needed for what at a machine, you just paid once on entry for each journey. Local restaurants & diners away from the Times Square are generally cheaper and more 'authentic'

We had a great experience at the Moderne NYC. The location was excellent, with Columbus circle a very short walk, and easy distance for Times Square. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and a good size for New York. Best of all were the team- we spent a week at the hotel and everyone we met was kind and accommodating. The hotel is well located especially if you are planning to visit the city. The area (Times Square is noisy) but the hotel windows are sound proof. The room I got was tiny but functional, the bed was comfortable, the desk was of good size. The bathroom has a great shower and is of good size (compared to other POD hotels in Manhattan). The Manhattan Club is a great place to stay in New York - at the north end of Times Square and just a couple blocks away from the noise and hubbub. Also, a short walk north to Central Park, so location is a favorite for me. The room had a queen bed and a queen sofa bed, plus a kitchenette which makes making coffee and breakfast in the room very easy.

The hotel is most conveniently located near Times Square and is relatively close to anything interesting in Manhattan. The room was clean and comfortable; the staff were friendly and helpful. The lack of breakfast service would be the only blemish, but they are setting it up. The price is high by normal European standards, good by Manhattan standards.

It was exactly as expected. Its got the American Horror Story feel as far as its decor and age of a hotel which in a way was very cool. Room was as described just felt old and tired. The pull out bed was very uncomfortable. Otherwise a good stay for the money as it was cheaper than most in NY city.
